In the sea that is product promotion on the Internet, the last thing you want to be is "just another marketer!"
This is especially the case in competitive niches like money, relationships, motivation or health / fitness.
But, what you might not realize is that you already have a huge competitive advantage over every other promoter.
What is that advantage?
YOURSELF!
There's only one of you in the world.
You have a unique voice, unique experiences, a certain way of looking at the world, a certain style, and all those things combine to make you a very unique marketer.
Make sure to put a little of yourself in your website and your content.
People will resonate with certain things, places you've been, ideas, things that you've experienced, cities you've lived in, whether you're married and have teen-aged kids, etc.
For example, I was born in Mexico and speak Spanish fluently. I lived with my wife and three children for nearly a decade in Costa Rica, Paraguay and Colombia. I now live in Boston. I'm a professor by trade.
Do you understand?
Not everyone will fall in love with you.
But enough people will because they will instinctively know that they are dealing with a real person and they will like certain things about you. After that, they are more likely to consider what you are recommending on your site.
There's only one of you. And that's a huge competitive advantage!
