When Is A "Great" Business Opportunity NOT?
I just received an email from a guy I’ve been watching for a while now. In the email, he was giving me a gift for being such a loyal, long-time subscriber to his emails. Thanks to his so-called “thank you” GIFT for being a great subscriber, I’m no longer a subscriber. Here’s how it played out….
I click on the link provided to see what this gift was, which takes me to a squeeze page with a video. So I provide my email address again, continuing on to the next video and a sign-up page. So far it’s only cost me my email address, which he already has.
Okay, I’ll bite - I sign up to this ‘fantastic’ make money training website that he, himself is providing. Now, in the member’s area, another video explaining how to get started. So far, all the chatter has been about how easy it is to make money by simply just performing a few clicks, and about how so many upsells one gets bombarded with in other programs.. Low and behold, the first step is going to cost me $50.00!
I didn’t find out how much the second step/training package was going to cost, but his videos (that I did see) go through examples of how much money can be made from commissions from the 3rd and final step, which is $1,000.00 per sale (which he called 100% commission, throwing in that a small administration fee of a few dollars will be deducted). So, you know the 3rd step has a price tag in the 4-figure range…
And he never did give any detail as to what his training is all about, except that he was going to teach you how to make money just doing these 3 steps; the first one costing 50 bucks, and 2 upsells, which to me looked like they needed to be done in order to make the kind of money he was talking about.
The gift? Good question…I still don’t know what it was (there wasn’t one, that I saw). And, training programs are a dime a dozen online.
To me, not only was his original email misleading, but just another example of SOS (shiny object syndrome). Am I wrong in my thinking? What do you think?Thank goodness there's WA, the real thing! ;)

Looks like this guy got his training from JVZoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Take the quickest exit my friend.
Definately a very empty shiny box with a price tag for its sparkle....
When will these people learn to work?
They'll always be "begging" for money this way......
WA consists of work and help and has no need to hide anything....
Thanks for sharing!

A very nice example of how NOT to set up a marketing funnel. Nowadays it is easy enough for anybody to set up the steps, but then too many people think they can skip the most important (and most difficult) part, which is to make sure the mechanism delivers real value...
