Jetpack Doesn't Play Well with WA's Site Rubix Login
A recommended (not by WA) WP plugin called Jetpack caused additional security features to be activated when logging in, as admin, to my [WA] Site Rubix hosted WP website (using a sub-domain).
After installing and activating Jetpack, and the next time I went to log in to that website through my Site Manager, I was redirected to a page primarily showing a captcha. Upon completing that captcha, I was then taken to a regular WP admin login screen, also including another similar captcha. Manually filling in my login information and completing that captcha did get me into my WP admin page successfully for that website.
As it turns out, deactivating Jetpack allowed the login process to function as normal. So, there really wasn't an actual problem, just a few extra, annoying steps that had to be taken in order to successfully complete the login. The circumstance was likely due to Jetpack's extra security features, which, in and of itself, could actually be considered a good thing.
Now that you have this information, you can decide whether or not you want to install Jetpack for the extra security, or do without it and keep your admin logins functioning normally.

I would like to learn a lot more about jet pack plugin. I have heard of it but I never got in depth. Thank you for the info!
Jetpack is a highly recommended plugin for websites hosted anywhere else except SiteRubix, but only because it interferes with logging in to your site's admin and makes you go through multiple extra and unnecessary steps to login. I've used it and like it, but I don't use it here. ;) ~ Mike

Hi Michael,
Our login processes for all WordPress websites at WA adds a higher level of security and you do not need JetPack. Entering a "Captcha" to login to your own website isn't security that is needed with WA websites. Passwords for your websites at WA are created so they are not able to be brute force attacked or guessed by any computer (or super computer). You're very safe with your user passwords at WA and a captcha is not required.
There is nothing that Jetpack offers that will make your WA Hosted WordPress website any more secure.
Carson
Ah, very good, Carson. Well, that seems to complete having all the necessary information to intelligently choose whether or not to use Jetpack for security, then. ;)
WA = 1, Jetpack = 0
Thanks much, Carson. ~ Mike
