I have a website for nail-art tutorial and tips on nail care. For tutorial I prefer video guide. Hence I maintain a YouTube channel. I do shoot and edit my nail design tutorial videos myself and upload to YouTube. I embed those YouTube videos in my blog posts too.
One beautiful morning last week, when I opened my site I saw that my videos in blogs were disabled. It said my account is suspended for Google policy violation. I was surprised since all my videos were original and for the matter of fact, I have this YouTube channel for past few year and I never faced this issue. I checked my email and didn't find any email from YouTube or Google mentioning the reason of disabling my channel! I had no idea why my channel was disabled.
I was annoyed and lot of depressing thoughts came into my mind! What will my visitor think about my site? Who will visit a site who violates policy? Is it all over for me and my blog? That time was frustrating and embarrassing.

Anyway, I had to sort this out and bring my channel up. I did reach out to WA community for help and also did some googling on my own. Most of the source suggested me to request YouTube for another review. I logged in and filled the form for review. Full day went in talking to different people and seeking advice. I didn't receive any communication from YouTube that day.
Next day morning, as usual, I logged into my site and this time it was a pleasant surprise. My YouTube channel was up and videos were playing fine. I was very happy and felt like winning a war! :) I logged into my email to see if there were any email with an explanation. But I don't find anything.
I did face some issues with my channel for next couple of days. My channel was not getting ranked in search results. Everything is back to normal now. Till now I don't know why my channel was disabled. But when I think about the whole incident now, I can say I learned few things about YouTube policies and functioning. That will be the take away for me from this.
