A steady flame to boil the water

Hi.Welcome to any person who may find themselves reading my first blog here in wealthy Affiliate.

I've been a premium member for a little over a month now and I'm quite pleased with my progress thus far. Firstly my intention was to work on three websites simultaneously yet I've found that it is better, for me, to concentrate on one site at a time.

As I was a little undecided upon which niche my full attention would be placed upon. It was helpful, and rather pleasing, that this choice was essentially made for me. One of the three sites I was working on had achieved google indexing within seven days. So my choice was essentially made and from that moment on I decided to concentrate on the one indexed site.

"A steady flame will eventually boil the water"

Let's just consider a pot of water on the stove for a moment. If the flame on the stove is turned off, then back on again, then the water in the pot will never boil. If the flame is turned up too high then the water may boil over the edges of the pot or the stove may run out of fuel.

This anaology may be applied to the type of effort required to consistently work towards the "boiling of water in the pot" (a successful website). If a steady flame is maintained under the pot then the water will eventually boil.

Likewise if my effort is consistent and steady upon my business then that constant intensity will will eventually pay dividends and provide the support I'm seeking for my family and myself. My belief is that its important to strike a balance so that all aspects of life are given appropriate attention. For example it would seem pointless to spend 100% of available time on developing a successful website if at the same time not spending quality time with the family.

What's my scene (niche)

From an early age I've been very intrested in wellbing and that is the niche I'm working within. It's a very broad niche however I'm planning to narrow individual aspects of the wellbing market down as the site gathers content, community and rankings.

My particular interest is drawn towards the use of specific wellbeing techniques and products. There are many facets within the wellbieng niche and I'd like to eventually offer quality products that satisfy the needs of people who are looking to ensure wellness of body, speech and mind.

Lets face it. The longer and more healthily productive lives we can have the greater chance we have of being of more benefit to others within this precious human lifetime. That, for me, is what 'it' is about and my belief is that I'm only as good as the level to which i've been able to successfully help others.

As of yet I have'nt made any specific affiliate sales for I'm concentrating on building out my site and establishing rankings for addition of affiliate programs in a month or so.

What's the plan Sam

Well its rather obvious that my name isn't Sam yet it gave me a bit of a laugh. Now If I can keep myself and others around me smiling then that's a big part of the plan. It's great for me to have financial goals yet I'm a big believer in still being able to have a good laugh along the way.

Within three months Im hoping to have numerous affiliate programs on board offering a wide array of products within the wellbeing industry.. Also wishing to have my site gathering momentum on FB, Instagram, Pintrest, and Twitter. I'll be aiming to add at least two posts per week to my site and will be looking at about 40-50 posts by the 4 month mark (given I've already been here a month).

Within 6 months time my main goal is to be able to say "well my site has good traction within google". I've been taught that having huge expectations may lead to dissapointment so I'm hesitant towards putting finacial expectation upon where I'll be in 6 months with this.

A most important concept, for me, is that I'd like to be able to say to my family "well look here I'm working hard for you and here are some wonderful results to prove what sticking at something can achieve".

Wrapping it up like a gift

So in conclusion I'd like to say that I truly believe Wealthy Affiliate to be the best platform I've ever seen. The training is clear, concise and accurate. I'm just so very thankfull to have stumbled across it.

That being said. My aim is to maintain a steady and consistant effort towards fulfilling my goals of securing a better life for my family and also hopefully being of the most authentic benefit I can be to any beings I'm fortunate enough to cross paths with.
