Removing Obstacles to Success - Debt

I hate debt. Personal and/or business debt can be a major obstacle to anyone’s success. Debt holds you back, makes you a slave and can cause you to lose hope. Debt talks to you... well it has me. My debt used to tell me all kinds lies related to hopelessness and the like.

I’m assuming that most people joined Wealthy Affiliate (WA) in order to change their lives for the good financially. Some would even admit that they envisioned themselves being millionaires with a successful online business providing all they could ever dream of. However, if you have all that wealth but still have the same old "stinking thinking" with regards to life and money, you're going to crash and burn.

Work on yourself not just your website. Prepare to be successful. Be a success in your day to day activities and in your thinking long before you experience "success" within your business. Renovate your thinking. Change from the inside out and watch the ripple effect change other aspects of your life.

If you're going to change your financial situation for the better it’s going to require a complete renovation of how you think. It’s also going to take focus, hard work and commitment. Some would argue that they just need more income. I used to say the same thing and I believed it with all my heart. However, my spending was out of control, my priorities were confused, I easily put things on credit and ignored ways to increase my income.

My encouragement to you is to change your view on money and specifically debt. Don't let things slide but make a budget and stick to it, cut your expenses, save money, invest wisely, don’t buy things you don’t need, and most of all invest in yourself.

This quote by an unknown author has helped me many times, "the successful man is the average man, focused”. Focus changes things but choose to focus on the answers not the problems.
