FINALLY - I set up my email list and lead magnet!
This is just a quick update today to say that I have FINALLY set up my email list opt-in form on my first website and created a lead magnet freebie too. I'm not quite sure why I haven't done it before now, but like they say, 'Better late than never!'
I've been following Jay's classes to show you how to do it and that has helped and spurred me on - thanks, Jay!
However, I could not get on with Aweber - it would just not connect to my site for some reason, and kept throwing up error messages, so I tried Kit. This too was a bit of a learning curve, but I managed to keep watching the help videos and going through the tutorials and troubleshooting and 'Hey Presto' - it worked!
Now I have the email list AND a lead magnet to entice people to sign up.
I know this isn't rocket science, but for me, it's a milestone that I've wanted to set up for AGES!!
All I have to do now is set one up on each of my other two sites and I'll be on a roll...
It's a good feeling to have something to cross off my 'to-do' list too.
Learning from this
1) Don't procrastinate - get things done - but better to do it late than never
2) Don't give up if at first you don't succeed
3) There are plenty of fish in the sea - if you don't like one, find another!
4) There's a great feeling to be had achieving even small goals!
So, if this is something you've been meaning to do for a while and haven't, don't keep chastising yourself; just get on and do it!
Have a great day.
Gail

Congratulations. The steps are not rocket science, but often seem to be written in a secret code to which I am not privy,

I think that they sometimes just assume a level of basic knowledge which I have to go off and learn!
