My first month so far.

I will start this blog post insisting that I am feeling positive. I will also dare to admit that some days I feel like in the photo; after a long day at work, I come home and sit at my computer to go through the training here at WA. I go to bed exhausted but feeling positive, however... because there's always a however, I still feel a bit lost as to how to gain traffic. It's not impatience, it's just uncertainty. And maybe a little impatience as well...

I have started this course and my blog a month ago. My Instagram has a whopping 17 followers, most of them friends that have found me somehow. I have just finished my "building your own traffic producing website" training and I have no traffic!

Has Google not yet realized how important it is to find the perfect Sweet Pickled Shallots Recipe? Does Google not know yet that while preserving Shallots you can save the world at the same time? I feel Google and I have yet to make the sealing deal in which I give 'it' great content with great keywords and Google in exchange sends me some love in the form of readers.

I will now leave you with the promise of writing another post in a few months to tell you about my progress. Because I am sure Google and I would have become good friends by then.

Hey Gaby,

I'm not quite as far through the training as you are, but to gain traffic, you need to find your audience. I haven't come across the training yet, but I know a lot of people are using social media to gain traffic.

You could try adding affiliate link to your website?
Your website and recipes look great, but you need keywords to create traffic. Maybe you need to incorporate these a little bit more in the beginning of your posts?

Hi Tara, thanks for the feedback!
I am using Social Media, but how do I get the followers on Social Media? I am posting photos however since it's so new I still have no followers on FB/Insta/Pinterest to see them....
Affiliate links is the next step however I believe they recommend you have at least certain traffic to your website before you try using affiliate marketing.
The posts are all using keywords researched on Jaaxy, so I have followed all the advise so far. I guess it still needs some time to develop :)

Just have a look around i guess.
You can invite someone to follow your page on facebook and in instagram i guess it's just about using lots of tags. I think pinterest just aim to keep tags simple. If you tag "tomatosoup" and "homemade" you will probably gain more traffic.

Will try it. Thanks!

Hi Gaby!

Love your writing style and sense of humour!

Just a gentle and caring FYI....WA Guidelines prohibit us sharing our Website Links on WA Blog Posts...

The only appropriate places are:

1. Your "Follow Me On" links area on your Profile Page - lower right column below your network and posts

2. when asking for SiteComments

3. When invited to do so by Kyle within Training Modules

Please don't be offended...just want you to know the guidelines in advance - I'll post Kyle's for you to read!
