Creating E-Commerce Website

Creating an e-commerce website on Wordpress is not an easy task. On WA, I just can't seem to find much about it either, so i went elsewhere, the infinite world wide web and through hours of searching and youtube tutorials, I finally created an average e-commerce site. The problem is however, there are so many plugins that It's hard to keep track of them all. However, learning from them was a great experience. If your having any trouble with creating an e-commerc you could contact me via e-mail. E-commerce is also hard to get into because there is so many other people doing the same thing. I suggest you take things slow at first. Sell one or two things and then eventually, get better and better at it until you can run it yourself! Anyways, that's it for my first blog post. Have a good day everyone and more updates coming up with my new website i'm creating using Affiliate Bootcamp.

P.S. Let me just tell you that bootcamp is a lot more straight forward than creating a niche website.

I set up an ecommerce site for someone else really easily and quickly -I found it just needed a couple of plugins - I went onto youtube and found one set of tutorials immediately that showed how to do it, then found that what I'd learned already at WA filled in gaps in that tutorial - so both worked together very well

a lot of people in WA have successful ecommerce sites and comment a lot of the time every time someone asks a question on it...

That's very true, although, when I set up mine, I like to make it just the way I want it so it became a challenge to piece it all together, but happy to know that you found it quite easy.

Keep up the good work! XD

I did an ecommerce site for a charity I worked for, using Opencart with Cpanel. You're right, it's not for the faint hearted, I had to do a LOT of "Googling" as I was a total newbie!
However once I had it set up it was easy to train people on how to add products etc.
I've heard people here talk about WooCommerce for Wordpress, is that what you used?

Funnily enough I started bootcamp and hated it, much happier with my niche sites. I've no enthusiasm for writing about scams etc!

Love your revision fashion site, the only thing is I found the text difficult to read, it's very pale on the white background. Having said that, I'm 58 with poor eyesight and not your target market so, if you "young uns" can read it then that's fine!

Good job. :)

haha thank you, and yes it is a total pain! I remember straying way off from the WA courses and just watched youtube diy how to set up e-commerce site for a week. Once I got it figured out, it became pretty easy, although I kind of lost interest in my revision fashion site. I started bootcamp and it is definitely more straightforward but I'm creating a site now on how to build a site and how to build e-commerce site and how to start thinking of ideas for a website.

But I believe that niche websites are much more fun to create, they spark brain functionality because you have to think about what you write and how you design the website.

Thanks for writing on my blog post XD.

By the way, my new site is www.redefinedprofits.com I made it from learning on bootcamp.

Great idea for your new site, good luck with it. :)

Is that the right url, says can't be found.

There are very few people in WA who talk about e-commerce. Obviously the focus here is on affiliate marketing. And that's great. But I also want to venture into e-comm. and so, I set up Woo-com on one my sites www.javaforlife.com as a plugin. Then I connected it to my other sites. I also set up "StoreYa" which puts the woo-comm store onto Facebook, and so I have 5 stores on FB and counting. I wrote a blog about StoreYa
Put a STORE in Facebook
And I spoke to the tech people and did a lot of work. I have about 6 e-books that I wrote that I am promoting. It's nice to see someone else talk about e-comm. That's not a common conversation around here.

haha thanks! I started the site www.revisionfashion.com and it sells clothing, and I just remember getting so frustrated because I couldn't figure out how e-comm worked so I just youtube it (best way to DIY)

Very nice site. Artistic and clean. I like it. Is this site hosted at WA? And how is the response?

the site is great! It is hosted in fact on WA and it took forever to build. My goal with that one was just to create a beautiful site with lots of pictures to get you into the shopping spirit, but now www.redefineprofits.com is a much more beautiful site newly created since yesterday lol, check it out if you like.

That one looks good too. There really isn't a lot of emphasis here on WA on beauty and design. It's more about simplicity and black and white themes. It's nice to see some good looking sites

haha thanks! It's nice to know that there is people looking out for that. But, not to bag on siterubix themes, but i've also tried out squarespace and their themes are unbelievably beautiful!

well, siterubrix is limited. And there is a whole world of themes out there that we can upload to WA.
I was thinking about this one, but did not use it
http://dessign.net/creative-portfolio-theme-responsive-free/

oh really! I didn't know that, the only themes i came across costed 60 to 100 dollars and I was like "I need money first!" Right now, I have literally 1 dollar in my wallet. But I'm still a high school student so my parents can still support me for a while lol.

I only use free ones and there are so many choices

i know right! I usually use mystile, it gives me the most options and customization

thank you for sharing your website.I am building or trying to build an commerce website to sell stuff including clothes, shoes etc. It seems there is not much on such websites in WA. What is the best way to reduce one's frustrations?

I do youtube, I go on youtube and type in "starting e-commerce site for wordpress" and usually there are some 2 hour long videos that tells you step by step how to build an e-commerce website.
