Circle to Search: Streamlining the Internet Experience!
(Title image by DALL-E 3)
Hi WA Friends!
Are you familiar with one of the newer AI-powered technologies called “Circle to Search?”
Circle to Search helps you find information quickly by drawing a circle around something on your screen.
Companies like Samsung and Google utilize this technology, which can work on some smartphones, tablets, and computers.
Samsung phone models include the Galaxy S23 and the Galaxy Note 20.
The Google Pixel 9 Pro also uses circle to search technology and has Gemini built-in.
On computers with a touch screen, it works on Google Chrome, where you can circle an image or text and search for it without typing.
Disclaimer: I don't promote anything related to mobile technology or computers. If it's not about guitars, then it's not related to me! Lol 😆
How Circle to Search Works
When you see something online, like a picture or a word, instead of typing it into a search bar, you draw a circle around it. The tool recognizes what you circled and finds more information about it on the internet. It’s fast and saves you time since you don’t have to explain what you’re looking for.
If you're not already familiar with Circle to Search, check out this great video from Google:

Pros and Cons of Circle to Search
For affiliate marketers, there are pros and cons to using Circle to Search.
One big pro is that it makes it easier for users to find products. If they see an item they like, they can quickly search for it, find more info, and maybe even buy it right away. This could lead to more sales for marketers.
The downside is that people might skip visiting affiliate websites. If users can find direct links to products right from their search, they may not need to go to the affiliate’s site, which could hurt website traffic. Less traffic means fewer clicks on ads or affiliate links, reducing potential earnings.
Overall, Circle to Search makes searching easier, but it may change how affiliate marketers drive traffic and sales.
Tell Me What You Think!
Here's some food for thought with the assistance of Chat GPT:
- Do you think the convenience of finding products quickly with Circle to Search could lead to fewer clicks on affiliate websites, or will it create new opportunities for marketers?
- How might Circle to Search technology affect user trust in product recommendations if they bypass affiliate content entirely and go straight to product sources?
- Could Circle to Search increase impulse buying by making it easier to search for products? If so, how could affiliate marketers benefit from this behavior?
- Do you believe Circle to Search might reduce traffic to affiliate blogs and websites? What strategies could marketers use to counter this shift?
- As more users adopt Circle to Search, will it make product reviews and detailed comparisons from affiliate sites less important, or could those resources still provide added value to consumers?

Interesting stuff Frank and I had never heard about this until you mentioned it now!
Do I think it is a good thing?? No idea until I investigate a little further!
The world we live in is constantly changing (more than ever right now I bet) so in order to thrive we all need to keep up with the times!
Appreciate the info as always my friend and Rock the rest of your day and week! :-)

Hi Nick

It took me a couple of nights to watch 'Fast Five' in Brazil as I fell asleep a lot!!
Tonight it will be number 6.... but I am knackered and doubt I will even get halfway through it!!
Rock On!
😎🎸🤣🍻🏎
Hi Nick
You sound like me. I commonly fall asleep at least once or twice during a movie, and if I have a drink during dinner, chances are I’ll sleep through the whole thing!
That’s what the rewind button is for. Lol 😆
Sleep well, Nick! 💤
Frank 🎸
That's why I only put things on that I have already seen multiple times when I go to bed Frank!!
Rock On!!
🤣👍🍻😴🎸😎
Hey Frank
Nice disclaimer! 🤣🤣
This Circle to Search sounds interesting, I'll have to check it out.
Sweet pin! But that Strat needs a dual coil pickup at the bridge. 🎸😜🤣🤣
Keep Rockin, Mr. AI! 💻🤖
Tim 🎼
Hi Tim
I knew the disclaimer would amuse you! Hahaha 😆
Check out the link to the video.
Yeah, that is a vertically-stacked humbucker in the bridge position. Lol
Still, you can't beat the sound of a high-quality single-coil pup, which sounds better than the "single-coil sound" of a humbucker with a coil tap switch. 😎
AND ... ONLY a guitar player would comment on the guitar, but not the car! Lol 👍🤣
Rock On! 🤘

Interesting post, Frank!
I have heard of the technology but not used it. Could it affect our Google search results to our websites? I am not sure yet.
We need to rely on our own marketing and not Google. I posted a picture on a Google review. Within days it got 271 views.
Our own efforts to market our online businesses will keep us ahead of these changes.
Have a great day, Frank!
Hi Howard
Yeah, we need to continue finding innovative ways to drive traffic to our content. 😎
