On Day 2, you learned the importance of finding your love (passion) and building your mindset.

It is the most important step for being successful.

Today you are going to learn the foundation of making money online and how to build your online foundation.

I hope you have started the training with Kyle too.

Some people when they hear about making money online. They think there is a button that you press and the money starts flowing.

There is no such button. Making decent money online without completing some tasks that pay close to nothing is a process.

Have you ever wondered who is writing all the information we find on Google and other search engines?

You can get all the information under the sun on Google. Who is writing all those content?

Of course people like you and me who own a website.

First of all, those people choose what they have to write about this can be a hobby, passion or interest or anything

In professional terms, they choose a niche.

Remember on Day 2 I explained the importance of finding what you love.

That is what keeps Steve Jobs motivated and works until he succeeds.

You need to find what you love (passion) and in Lesson 3 here at Wealthy Affiliate, you will learn what is a niche and how to choose one.

The question is still how those people make money by writing those content and Google show them to you for free?

There are different ways to make money online. You can make money with Google Adsense.

But the main focus here at Wealthy Affiliate is to teach you how to make money with Affiliate Marketing.

Let's say your passion is Dieting.

Dieting is very broad. Kyle has explained how to narrow it down to a specific target audience.

Let's say after analysing your passion and you decide you love the Keto Diet.

All your focus will be on people who need information or help with Keto Diet or even products and services related to Keto Diet.

The next step is to reach those people who are interested in your niche.

In this case, I use the Keto Diet.

As I check on Google Keywords Planner you can see how many people are searching for Keto Diet per month.

Those are your potential audience or target audience and most of them have a credit card to buy Keto Diet products.

To reach them you need to have a website that will work for you 24/7. Your website is the foundation of your online business.

Most people are scared of the term website.

You can build your website with a few clicks here at Wealthy Affiliate and it will take less than 60 seconds to have your own website.

You have found your love (passion) and you have your website.

The next step is to attract people to visit your website AKA Get Traffic to your website.

The question is now how to get traffic to your website?

The simple answer is by ranking your website in search engines like Google, Yahoo, Bing and others.

You need to write content that people are searching for on the internet and Google will send you a lot of people to your website

Your job is to write helpful content for your audience.

To recall this you were looking for information or product reviews on Google or other search engines and landed on my website.

The more you write the more traffic you get to your website. You might still be saying where is the money here.

Then we arrive at the last step which is Monetization. You can monetize your website with display ads by signing up with Google Adsense.

Or you can sign up with any Affiliate Program in your niche and be an affiliate.

This means you can refer your target audience to different products online and earn affiliate commissions when sales occur.

Do you remember early on Day 1 when I explained about Uber? Uber App connects Drivers with Rivers and Restaurants with Eaters.

Your website can connect people with different products in your niche and earn affiliate commissions.

Uber is a middleman between Drivers and Rivers and you can be a middleman between merchants and customers.

You can find any affiliate programs under the sun by typing on the google browser “Your niche + affiliate program”.

In this case, I will type Keto Diet Affiliate Program...

They are about 25,900 results on Google. As I said before they are many affiliate programs under the sun and some pay up to 75% in commissions.

You can also earn a lot of money online as an affiliate marketer it is not rocket science. But it needs initial work to start seeing results.

On Day 4, I will show you how to choose the best domain name for your website that Google love and ranks better in the search engines.
