We are amazed!
It was a beautiful night in Bonita Springs, Florida about a month ago. Sweater weather. I just love that time of year. My significant other, Don and I decided to go to our local greyhound race track because he has a greyhound that races across the state at Palm Beach Kennel Club and our local track (my last employer who layed me off last May 2018 and that I decided NOT to go back to work for this past winter season) ( I'm doing this instead), has similcasting from many dog, horse and jai alai tracks in the country and Chile. Anyway, we went up to the clubhouse and met another couple and enjoyed the buffet. The husband, wife and myself were talking away while Don was having a hay day handicapping and betting and whatching the live and Palm Beach races.
Then the worst thing happened! I was talking to the wife and glanced over to the husband and he was looking at Don who was standing up on my left side and the husband, Mark, said heart attack. I stared at Mark and he said as he was looking at Don, are you having a heart attack? I jumped up and looked at Don with sweat dripping off his nose, grabbed my purse and said "lets go" we ran to the elevator and he could barely walk or talk, I asked if he wanted to go to lthe EMT office downstairs and he said "NO take me to the emergency room!"
He had dropped me off at the door when we had got there earlier and I told him to wait at the door, I will go get car. I ran outside into the parking lot and couldn't find the car. A security guard drove Don to me and we found the car. I got him to the emergency room and he was keeled over in so much pain. They got him into a room and gave him pain killers and took him to get xrays of some sort came back and it turned out to be a kidney stone. We were there for about four hours. The pain was gone, they gave him a prescription in case the pain returned and we went home.
We decided to go to Ohio a couple of weeks ago. We left on a Saturday morning and got there on Sunday night. Monday morning I thought everything was fine. But it wasn't. Don said he thought I should take him to the emergency room. I asked if it was the kidney stone. He said yes. I said lets go. I drove, we get in the waiting room and his pain is getting bad. He said he felt like he was going to get sick. I got him a bag and was sitting in the chair next to him and I thought, what the heck am I doing, I am a Reiki Master, I should be doing reiki on him.
I said, Don I am going to do reiki on you. I have treated his hip before so he new how it worked. I asked Reiki to please flow through my arms to my hands and out from my palms to Dons kidney stone. Then I told Don to relax. In about 15 minutes he was called and we went into a room and a nurse asked him if he had any pain. He replied when I came here the pain was at about an eight and now its about a two. They brought us to another room and said the doctor will be in shortly. I continued the reiki and a nurse came in and asked "are you doing reiki?" I said yes. She said they have reiki masters come to the hospital to help patients with pain management. I asked Don how he was feeling and he said fine and he didn't even feel sick to his stomach anymore. I asked if he had any pain and he said "no." He also said he was ready to go home. I talked him into waiting to see the doctor and we did and told the doctor about the reiki session. We left and Don drove home and we said "Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.

I've had kidney stones in the past myself. But the last time I went to the ER with that kind of pain, exactly the same kind with referred pain on the right flank and around to the back, it was a heart attack instead. Never assume with those kinds of pain, just go and get checked out at the ER.
Hi Stan-so sorry to hear that you've had a heart attack!!! Don did also and he had similar symptoms as with the stone. Especially the sweating!! Thanks for the very good advice!! Best of luck here at WA and thanks for reading my new blog. Deb/floridagrany
It happened about a year and a half ago. I've been following Don and commented a few times on his posts. I just wanted to add to the reasons to always go to the ER for pain like that, you never know what it may be and most things are bad.
Hi Sharon- Yes, amazing!! I never new that I could be a channel for reiki. I am so happy that reiki found me!! I never had an intention to become a reiki master. I heard of it and had a group session years ago that I even forgot I had. I didn't feel anything from that session. I am happy that I can help people to smile again. Deb/floridagrany Best of luck to you. Are you doing OK?Deb/floridagrany
Yes thx Deb. I'm more than ok as I've had meeting with my church minister and he's offering 3 of us ladies in my church that are unemployed a chance to make some money. He wants us to open our existing coffee shop at church to the public during the week. I'm both exited and humbled by him choosing me as one of those ladies. It's going to happen very soon. He just has to tweak a few things like get more gates and shelves built and then we can do it. So now I'll have extra income once my website here starts making money too.
Good luck in your business here too.
Hi Pastor- Yes great experience for both of us!! I love doing reiki and love helping people to release pain and feel so much better. Its such a great feeling for me to see their faces when they get up and walk around and the pain is gone. The smiles really warm my heart!! They haven't smiled in so long and now they are smiling!!
Great!!! wishing you great success and smiles-Deb/floridagrany
Great experience, Deb! I love how the hospital often has a reiki master come in and help patients with pain management. That really gives validation to Reiki.
Blessings, Linda
HI Linda- Thanks for spending your time reading my blog. I was so pleasantly surprised to hear that about the hospital. Lets just help people get to let go of pain the easy way!!

Hi yange- Thank you for spending your time reading my blog, best of luck to you here at WA-Deb/floridagrany
I have never heard of reiki, but I have passed over 50 stones in my life. I also had surgery twice because I couldn't pass a stone. It is a lot of pain.
Hi Gene-I sure hope you never have to go through that again!!
Hope you have great success here at WA. -Deb/floridagrany
That's a great story. What a great skill to have...any time you want to come to Alaska, we can most likely find you some folks interested in a treatment.
Hi FK - thank you for reading my new " We are amazed" blog I have great news for you in Alaska! Reiki can be reached from my house to yours! Just more Reiki amazement!! Its called distance Reiki. I was layed off last May and when they called me in Dec. and asked if I was interested in coming back to work I said "I think I am going to do something else this year" I didn't know what I was going to do but I knew I just wanted to help people. Then I reiki found me! about three quarters of the way through my studies my palms became hot! Really hot! I didn't know that that was going to happen. I Then I learned that I had to use it on someone so I asked Don if I could practice on him and if he had anything ailing him. We set his intention for helping to relieve pain in his right hip. When the session was over and I didn't know if I did it correctly, he got off the bed and walked around and had this goofy look on his face. He had no pain! We were amazed!! Thanks for your time FK-your friend Deb/floridagrany
