When the wall hits hard
Burnout>>> The Invisible Barrier Between Me and My Own Work
There’s a peculiar kind of paralysis that hits when you're a creative. Not because you doubt your work, but because you're afraid of what happens when people see it.
I’ve been sitting on projects I know are good. I’ve reread them, replayed them, refined them. I’ve even had people ask to see them. And yet... I stall. I delay. I disappear.
It’s not laziness. It’s not perfectionism. It’s not even fear of failure.
It’s burnout.
But not the kind that screams through fatigue or missed deadlines. This burnout is quieter, sneakier, more psychological. It whispers things like:

- “If you share this, they’ll expect more from you.”
- “What if they don’t love it ... and that confirms your worst fear?”
- “You’re not ready to be seen. Not yet.”
The tragic irony? I want to be seen. Creatives aren’t just making things for themselves We’re making things to connect. But burnout builds a wall between what we create and who we want to share it with.
And there’s no easy Google solution for that.
What I need isn’t a content calendar.
I need compassion.
I need space to remember that sharing isn’t performance .
It’s invitation.
So when ChallengC GPT asked me to come up with a question that Google couldn’t answer, this spilled out of me:
“Why do I hesitate to share my creative work when I know it’s good —... even when people are waiting to see it?”
AI didn’t give me hacks. It gave me language.
Language for the shame, the fear, the pressure, the longing.
And sometimes, having the right words is the first step toward healing.
