How to add a sub domain to an existing domain
Some of us have several interests and niches. Others have a personal website. You can always use one of your existing domains and add a sub domain. Let me show you how.
What is a sub domain?
A simple example:
- Siterubix.Com = domain
- Fleek.siterubix.com = sub domain
How to add a sub domain to your domain ?
Go to the menu on your left in your WA dashboard > websites > site domains.
The menu that unfolds looks like this:
just scroll down until you find add sub domain and click on it.
Then add the name of your sub domain and create it.
OK. You are done now and ready to set up your new website.

My question is, is a subdomain effective as the domain? Is there any advantage, what are the disadvantages?
Hi.
As such, the advantage is that you do not need to buy an extra domain. The domain and subdomain also enforce each other in seo.
Disadvantage? Not really. Just not top level, as they say
Thank you. I see this as a good strategy in particularizing every niche under one main domain because you will only pay for the domain but have many niche websites.
I was just about to set up another website. I want a completely different niche. Can a sub domain be unrelated to the existing website?

Thank you for more of your tips. One question (and forgive my ignorance), why would you want or need a subdomain? I mean, is it an extension of your primary with the same niche or is it an entirely separate site and subject? Sorry for all the questions. Just need to know how this would benefit me.

Hi Liz,
The benefit is that you do not have to buy a new domain and that you can indead add a niche without interfering with your main site.
If you are happy with your side as is and do not need an extea website. No changes.

Nice Fleeky, I have learned something new again. Is it only the siterubix sites that can be sub sites ? I am still trying understand purpose of a subsite, can you please give me an example of how it can be added or its usefulness under a domain site?
Your siterubix site is a subdomain already
And normally, yes, you should be able to do that.
BEtter ask sitesuport if it is supported.
However it is not adviced. Better create a second rubixsite.

Fleeky, I purchased a Domain the beginning of October and started setting up my affiliate program on it.
A week later i settled on my Niche site and set it up on siterubix.com.
Does this mean that I can go to my personal Domain and create a sub domain under it and move my niche site to it?

In the dashboard of the wordpress you want to move too> tools> Import your blogs and comments from your drive into this site
