Story time kids
Story time kids
Some may wonder about the strange title.
Actually it is a low hanging fruit keyword as generated by Jaaxy keyword search tool. Story time was my initial choice... but Jaaxy said... poor title, no way of using that one.
Anyway, stories of my childhood are still actual today.
And we all have some stories, that help us, even today, thanks to their wisdom and insights.
One of those is the story of a man, his son, his horse and their journey
There is this man, traveling to town
saddling his horse
And riding it with his son
On the road
A man shouts
poor animal, you bastards!
And the man goes of his horse
letting his son in the saddle
and leading his horse
Comes an old woman shouting
What a disrespect
for old age
And the son glides of the horse
the father rides again
The boy leading the horse
Comes a young woman screaming
What a shame
child abuse
And the father goes of the horse
walking with his son
Besides his horse
Comes a merchant laughing
what a sight
Where do you bring the horse ?
And both the man and his son
Climb into the saddle again
in pursuit of their journey
Undisturbed this time
By the opinions
of others along the road
What is my point?
There is great wisdom in this story!
Why have a horse if you do not ride it?
Same goes for us, in our lives
People shouting at us and screaming
what we ought to do
If you saddled your horse
Just ride it
And do not dismount ...
And for those
who have no horse
Just walk
The destination
Is the same
for all

We live in different times, Fleeky. Both the boy and his father would tell the strangers to mind their own damn business.
An attitude (sort of) we can bring to our online businesses. Listen to constructive criticism/help but ignore the rest.
Haha so true
No listeners any more, just commanders without stripes
As for Feedback. It is a great instrument indeed Phil
Thanks for pointing that out

Commanders without stripes! So true. Influencers without qualifications (and some without smarts) are the modern equivalent of witch doctors.
Hahaha... so true again
War is lost with such bubbleheads
The story has to be rewritten...
Let me try
...
There is this man β¨
traveling to town β¨
saddling his horse β¨
Says the son
I take the horse
And you the lead
Leaving his dad β¨
on the ground
Walking
Poor dad
Not even able
to correct his son
And his son?
Sitting in the saddle
Like a tyrant
If I where that man
I'd sell
The horse
And walk
And walk
And walk
We can replace son by dad also, it gives this
There is this man
β¨traveling to town β¨
saddling his horse β¨
Says the man
I take the horse
And you the lead
Leaving his son β¨on the ground
Poor son
Not even able
to disagree with his dad
He walks
And walks
And walks
And his dad?
Sitting in the saddle
Like a tyrant
Other variant?
The horse running away

Great story Fleeky.
Despite of what people say, I would just laugh it off and continue my journey anyway. :)

Nice story, Fleeky! Perhaps one of my favorite stories of my childhood was the Bible story recounting Jesus feeding the multitude of 5,000 people from a young boy's lunch of five small loaves and two fishes. When he blessed the meager lunch, he had his desciples break up the food into little pieves and they were able to go forth among the crowd and feed everyone until they were filled. Even better when they were finished, they had 12 bushel baskets full of food left over!
I guess the moral of that story was that "Nothing is Impossible with God"!
