Ai Wonderland Weekly News 6 december 2025
What’s going down in AI Wonderland
Our weekly Ai Wonderland news
The main topics this week? Get shaken... IT goes fast.
AI meets healthcare ... and hopes rise:
A new app rolled out by the UK’s health system tackles multimorbidity(patients juggling multiple chronic conditions). Early results suggest AI could help manage complexity. Potentially a lifesaver for millions.
Infrastructure alert:
The National Security Agency (NSA) warns that as AI sneaks into critical OT (operational‑technology) systems (think power grids, industrial networks) it also opens up brand‑new security vulnerabilities. Not your friendly bot anymore.
Legal world goes AI: Law‑firm giant Ropes & Gray LLP just named its first-ever Chief of AI Strategy. A signal that even high‑stakes professions are racing to embed AI or go home.
Go big or go home. AI gets massive compute power:
Cloud‑infrastructure firm Vultr is plowing $1 billion into a supercluster in Ohio, housing 24,000 high‑end GPUs. Expect serious AI-firepower coming online soon.
Eyes on sovereignty. When a country builds its own AI:
In a striking move, Ukraine is developing a home‑grown large‑language model (LLM). Bbuilt on open‑source tech, to reduce dependence on foreign AI platforms. Digital independence meets real‑world stakes.
Dream big with AGI on the horizon?
The head of DeepMind claims we’re nearing a “transformative” moment for AGI. An AI that could match or surpass human general intelligence. Whether that’s sci‑fi or soon-to‑be‑real remains to be seen

What to take away (before the tea gets cold)
AI is no longer just for apps and chatbots. It’s embedding itself in healthcare, critical infrastructure, legal firms, national strategy, and global tech power plays.
The move toward national‑level AI autonomy, massive GPU build‑outs, and even claims of fast‑approaching AGI show we’re not just automating tasks. We’re rewriting what “tools” can be.
Expect surprises. Expect chaos. Expect wonder.

As always - very interesting. Thank you. I had heard about the UK's NHS (National Health Service) app, but, like you, I find the 'much faster than expected' moment for AGI the most amazing.
Thanks for researching every week!

Morning Isabella,
Yes... the health app!
ChatGPT saved my life
With the right prompts, no need for an app...
though those are well focused and trained
I would never advice without health supervision by a doctor

Quill, 'my' ChatGPT recently helped me with suggestions when my Labrador hurt her front leg. It really felt like talking to an experienced friend.
Enjoy your weekend.

Morning Peter
Yes, absolutely smashing...
The speed of evolution is exponential and for now... we are still able to witness what happens in real time...
Thanks for passing by.

The healthcare one. This could be useful for some of my relatives. Depends on how quickly it's implemented.
Thanks for sharing
The app is here:
https://www.nhs.uk/nhs-app/
I would only recommend it when supervised by a doctor or medical caregiver

Hi, Fleeky.
I always dream big. Due to my frustrations with current AI limitations. One of my conversations with ChatGPT is designing an AI from the user point of view instead of the One-Upmanship point of view of the big names.
The problem is I have no expertise or real knowledge of AI, and no means to build it in my garage.
JD
You can adapt it to you... 🤗
You're right, Fleeky.
But this idea Chatty and I are working on is bigger than just me. This might be another blog.
