AI is changing our language (for real)

Researchers studied 34 languages and discovered that certain words and phrases favored by AI are increasingly appearing in human texts. Not just in English, but worldwide. In other words: AI learns from us, but we are also starting to learn a little from AI.

Perhaps this explains why words like engaging, delve, crucial, and the famous em dash suddenly seem to pop up everywhere. 😉

The surprising debate of the week? Trust

A university administrator used AI to write an opinion piece about responsible AI use. When this became known, a debate about transparency arose. Strikingly: many people use AI, but only a small portion say they truly trust it.

The message is increasingly:
Not "do you use AI?", but "do you tell people you use AI?"
