3 Ways We Write With AI (And Why It Feels Different)

3 Ways We Write With AI (And Why It Feels Different)

After my last post, I noticed something interesting.

Some people got it.
Some were confused.
Some skipped it completely.

That’s not random.

It has to do with how we write now that AI is involved.
Not better or worse. Just… different.

For those who missed the previous post: writing after AI

1. The “Answer Style

This is what most AI writing looks like.

clear
structured
complete

It gives you what you need… fast.
And then you move on.

Nothing wrong with that.
But it does one thing: it finishes the thinking for you.

2. The “Open Style

This is less common.

not fully resolved
leaves space
sometimes feels unclear

It doesn’t give you the full answer.
It asks you to stay with it a bit longer.

That can feel uncomfortable.
Because we’re used to things… landing.

3. The “Bridge Style

This is somewhere in between.

It starts clear.
Then something shifts.

You think you’re getting an answer…
but instead, you get pulled into the thinking.

This is what some of you experienced in the last post.

Not confusion for no reason.
But a different kind of writing.

Why This Matters

We’re getting used to answers.
Fast ones. Clean ones.

And slowly, without noticing…
we stop doing part of the thinking ourselves.

Not because we can’t.
Because we don’t need to anymore.

Just Something to Notice

Next time you read something…

ask yourself:
Did this help me think?
Or did it finish the thinking for me?

Both have their place.
But they don’t feel the same.

And now you know why.

I hope this solved the previous confusion...

Ps

I used Image Studio in two ways as well. First, I created an image infographic that was clear and easy to understand. Second, I created an image that was open and inviting, which encouraged people to ask questions and engage more actively.
