Strive For Excellence In All That Matters To You
Today's quote is again provided by Aristotle: "We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit."
Do you strive toward excellence in your website building tasks or your posts? If so, that is a very good thing. If you continually aim for excellence, you will reinforce that pattern of behavior in your brain and it can indeed become habitual.
Excellence differs from perfection. Don't aim for perfection, as our world itself is filled with imperfections. Don't make your goal impossible by thinking you must be perfect in all things. Instead, let excellence be your aim.
Isn't that somewhat of a relief? You don't have to try to be perfect. You simply need to work toward daily improvement. Strive to become excellent and you will gain the high ground.
Even without perfection, if you work toward continual improvement, you can have a solid impact on your world. Realize that excellence does not come overnight, but must have time to develop. It's okay to start as a beginner -- we all do at some point.
You will discover that excellence is the result of a number of things. You must be committed to your task. You must work hard to attain your results. You must do the necessary with consistency. You must believe in yourself and your journey.
Develop the habit of striving for excellence now, and you will certainly enrich your future.

Very well said, Fran. Why should be always be striving for excellence? To me, most people will settle for “good enough.” They will only do what is required and no more.
Mediocrity is natural.
When a person decides to go beyond average and strive for excellence, it causes them to stand out. They rise above the rest.
Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “If a man can write a better book, preach a better sermon, or make a better mouse trap than his neighbor, the world will make a beaten path to his door.” The bottom line is, people will notice.
That creates more opportunities…great post, Fran!

Very true, Mike, and that's why I keep working to improve. There's always another positive change we can make.

Even though Aristotle might have said it first, Fran, I believe that, for most of us, this is something that we automatically do innately.
Excellent post again, my friend.
Jeff
Not innately -- you are giving us too much credit. However, it's worth our effort.
I always seem to have done this, so I beg to differ a bit, Fran. You have done this too.
