Not Enough Hours In The Day
Where does the time go?
Unfortunately this weekend life has taken its toll and stopped me spending as much time as I would like on WA.
This means I have the possibility of slipping down the rankings because of time constraints.
Today I had to attend the official opening of the function Suite at the Naval & Military club which went on for a lot longer than I had expected.
Tomorrow by the time I have attended church had lunch out with friends, (something I arranged a few weeks ago) and then written a press release for the function suite and submitted it along with photos I expect most of the day to be gone.
I apologize now to all those that have written posts but I will get round to them as soon as possible.
Where has my time gone today, it is almost midnight and I haven't got much done, or at least not much that can be seen.
I hope to be back to normal soon and I will catch up as soon as possible but I can only do so much in the time I have available.

We have enough time in the day. A day of more than 24 hours would be really endless!! What we need is to manage our time differently so we don't feel overwhelmed by our tasks. It is not simple, but it is the only solution I have found to avoid discouraging me.

I agree with Bex about balance. I am finishing my last Hr tonight answering emails and commenting on posts since tomorrow I have church then some outside work.
Then get ready for a group of people coming to our home for about 3 hrs in the evening.
Then it's and early bed night since I have to be somewhere early 7:15am on Monday.
So I certainly know what you mean.

Derek, I think it is great you are out and about engaging in activities that nourish you. I deem it a necessary balance to go out and connect with activities other than working feverishly all the time. Balance is key, as it allows for more productivity. Not allowing yourself a respite will lead to burnout. Success need not be painful, and it looks to me you engage and perform consistently and with quality content, so well done for your self awareness and commitment to your goals.

I feel somedays that I have so much that I want to get accomplished. It is hard to not put too much pressure on myself to get things done. I usually come up short but I feel that if we at least set a reasonable goal for a daily to do list, it will at least keep us moving forward. Maybe not everyone else- but this is how it works for me at least.

I have slipped down the ranks several times in just the 4 months I've been a member, and I've noticed that as soon as I get back to it consistently, my rank goes right back up pretty fast.
As a new person, one of the things I'm really understanding early on is that it is important early on to try to strike a balance in my life between this and everything else that is part of life. It can definitely be difficult, so I empathize with your plight. You post frequently. Since this is about 3 weeks late, I bet you're back up there by now. Hopefully, anyway. Best wishes to you.
