What Stands in the Way Becomes the Way
Marcus Aurelius was the last of the five good emperors of Rome in 161 AD. He said, “What stands in the way becomes the way the impediment to action advances actions.”
We’ve all chosen this path, what started with excitement may have slowed to a crawl, and there’s no going around it. Facing what feels like a mountain of difficulties is overwhelming because we mistakenly believe it all needs to get done at once.
Breaking down the steps into bite-sized pieces is a more practical approach. This process gives a thorough understanding we couldn't get otherwise. Because we took the time to master the subject, we can teach others as an authority; this is how the impediment to action advances action. So don’t begrudge or shortcut the struggle; it builds character and confidence.
What stands in the way becomes the way the impediment to action advances action.

It really is; there's a great book by Ryan Holiday of the same title
"The Obstacle Is The Way" is definitely worth a read.
