Finally getting some time.
I am not sure if someone heard my cry, or saw how hard I was working, but I went to work yesterday morning and my supervisor said as of Monday I would be getting two nights off. It was like music to my ears, because I have been longing for some time off to spend with my family. I still have my day job and I would no longer have to work seven nights a week. That's right, seven nights a week. finally I would get to spend some quality time with my family.
With my new found freedom, I decided not to tell anyone at home because I want to surprise them. So on Tuesday after my day work I plan to catch the first bus home and when I reach home walk through the door like a millionaire. On Wednesday I plan to have my son and daughter meet me in the town where I can take them shopping and for them to buy pizza and ice cream. My of course must not be left out and I will buy her a handbag she showed me some time back. As you see I have plans for all of them.
My family is so important to me, so I will make the best use of this opportunity to be with them and reconnect back with them, instead of me seeing them only Saturdays and Sundays during the days. My son likes to express himself so I know he will have a lot to say to me. I have grown my son in such a way that he can talk to me at anytime and about anything. My daughter is a more reserved person so I want to be able to sit with her and talk to her to find out what is going on inside of her and to find out what is on her mind.
I remember my friend once telling me that money is not all. Yes we need it to survive, but it is not wise to sacrifice your family for the sake of money, because you can have all the money in the world and not be happy; and guess what it has been proven over and over again. Well there you have it. Finally getting some time and I am going to make the best use of it and reunite with my family, who incidentally are my best friends.Recent Comments
