Help! How Do I Create a Members Only Section?
Hiya!
I’m thinking of creating a members only section to my website.
Ideally, if someone wants to go into that section, a pop up should come out where in the person can input their details. Once they give the right answers on the pop up, they are then allowed into that section.
I would also like for AdSense to not show up in that section as I wish to do more targeted advertising, as well.
I’m not sure how to do any of the above!
Does anybody have any advice on this topic?
If you don’t know, just don’t comment and wait for others to do so! Typing, “I don’t know…” is great for gaming the system to improve you ranking here but I would appreciate that nonsense being kept off of my post.
Thank you all in advance!
Darlene

Darlene, there is another one that I know of that accepts membership sites. It is systeme dot io products. It's cheaper than OptimizePress and another funnel builder with membership sites. I use systeme dot io, and I like it. I only use it for the funnel, and the email autoresponder is included. I still use their free plan and will upgrade later when I have the finances available.
Thank you! I’m not looking to drive people to the private side. I just need to be able to create one and have a gatekeeper. There will be no extra charge.

Sorry that I was a bit tongue tied in the question but I just didn’t know how to put my thoughts into words!
Thank you for your patience!
Actually it will be its own specific blog.
This isn’t quite what I’m talking about but say I had a website that had both an English and a French (private) side. If you click to enter the French side, there will be a quick qualifying pop up and then you can go into the other side that could be its very own blog site. English people won’t be able to go onto the French (private) side without answering a couple of questions.
ClickFunnels wouldn’t even come close to helping with this. It needs to be done on the backend of the site somehow.
Maybe this is a question that @Kyle needs to help on.

Creating memberships and gated content is a rabbit hole I have not gathered the courage to try yet. Every time I have tried I have gotten frustrated and quit. It just seems a lot more complicated than my usual blogging workflow. However, I am aware that my membership to OptimizePress now comes with a membership plugin included.

Oh, this reminds me of when I was doing the same- haha. We found many options/plugins including aMember Pro, LearnDash, Teachable, s2Member, WooCommerce Memberships, Restrict Content Pro and MemberPress.
Went with MemberPress, I am not an affiliate, paid around $300 yearly minus the discount code for the plus option, basic was like $120 less of plus. Pretty good so far.
Later, I found out I could get it and some of the other plugins for much cheaper after joining another membership program lol
Thank you for all of the suggestions! I was hoping for no cost or free! My expectations may be too high!
