Hello, My Friend…

Writing compelling content for a Blog Post or Web page shouldn’t be as daunting a task as put out to be. But, it does require the writer to have a compelling grasp on what he or she wants the content to say, how it is to be said and the method of delivery wanted.

If you start with the fact that, except for new writers, you may know a lot already about the audience and what they are generally searching for.Particularly in the case of existing writers, the audience already knows much about the writer as well.

Your audience has reason to believe and trust you, compared to brand new readers who have no way or reason to be particularly attracted to your content.

COMPELLING CONTENT WRITING IS MADE EASIER…

1.-When the writer gathers and sorts all the facts properly:

a.Have a heart-felt talk with yourself before you try to write anything.

b.Set goals to achieve with your content, before you write a word.

c.Quickly recall who your audience is and why you want to make them aware of your content. If you’ve told them about it before, mention the fact for their recollection.

d.Gather and prioritize the facts and how you intend to present them.

e.Recall to yourself what specifically you want your audience to take from this particular content. You could even say it outright as in: if you only take away one thing from this writing let it be that I am as near as your E-mail to answer questions you may have after reading this!

f.Use creative graphics or images that reinforce in pictures what your content say in words.

2.-When the Writer conceptualizes the pitchthe audience in advance of writing the first word:

a.Use your pitch concept to find the compelling theme, tone and structure.

b.Your theme and tone should make up your main idea for now.If you happen to know the path of least resistance to the audience …adapt and use it when possible.

c.Your structure consists of how your presentation is organized and how the topic is actually presented.

d.You should try to be as creative as possible but careful not to sacrifice your knowledge of the subject and your belief in what you are writing about.

e.Consider drafting your content in 2 or 3 different pitches and either elect the one that makes more sense or combined them for more complete effect.

3.-Always put the content in draft form, even printed it out.You might be surprised how much better and clearer (or lousy) your writing reads and looks in print from the screen.Even get a third person to read it for you as well:

a.Now it’s time to format or layout the content and put it in writing.

b.It time to put in the relevant theme and tone of the writing.

c.It’s time to pick out relevant images for the Title, for designated places down the body of the content.

d.Work on and select a great title that includes your keyword.

e.Your content is NOT complete until it:

    (1) gets the attention of the reader;

    (2) Incites the reader to imagine herself or himself in the situation;

    (3) Incites a burning desire to have your offer; and,

    (4) You incite your readers into whatever action you want.

4.-Make sure you did not miss any typos or small grammar missteps …Edit, use spell and grammar check, word count and even ask someone to take a look before you publish:

a.Your audience consists of a lot more 8th and 9th grade level readers than PhD English and Journalism Prof and Lawyers.Write content for plain folks like you and me, PhD’s are doing well.

b.In the Home or Online Business, there is little room for pompous pontification and multiple syllablization. Nothing makes writing more clear than short sentences and short paragraphs.

c.Any sentence over 12 words could well border on uselessness.Any paragraph more than 5 lines should only be allowed for PhD English and Journalism Profs and Lawyers.…Let 12 words and 5 lines illuminate your path to compelling content writing.

d.Many Bloggers take 1,521-word content as pardonably allowed. Try to keep yours between 851 and 1,001.

NOW THAT YOU KNOW, MY FRIEND…

My mission here may already be complete.Your content could already well be compelling. Your message could already be consistent. If your sentences are already short and the paragraphs inviting to read, you could well be way ahead of us plain folks.

Furthermore, if your contents tells the reader what you expect him or her to take away, if you ask them to take action and reinforce the message with appropriate images ...Hurray for you, my friend!

This all leaves no doubt that you know your product and that you do believe in what you write about!

Have an Awesome Day. Share this page with your friends, they’ll thank you later when they enjoy the results too!

Very good information, Thanks Felix.
I think planning is vital, Focussing on your audience and what they want to know. Not forgetting what you want them to know! Finally not presenting too many options at once to confuse or distract their action taking decisions.
Now must print out the above and work through thoroughly :-)
