Online Training
I am doing this test in light of Carson's recent post about "Top Of Google with Wealthy Affiliate".
Since google likes us and has seen us as an authority site, I thought I would experiment with broader keywords that get thousands of searches per month and see what happens.
I'm very curious to see the results. If we're able to rank on the first page of google for broader keywords, then imagine how much traffic we could bring in to our sites. And remember, more traffic=more money! But don't forget that you have to have good relevant content also.
"Online training" is a very broad keyword with over 19.5 million pages. According to the WA keyword tool, not Jaaxy, this phrase gets 179,481 searches per month, with a possibility of 30512 views.
If this test turns out favorable, just think how many people would be interested in joining WA just on that alone.
Now, I'm not trying to find a lazy way to build my business, just doing an experiment. I'll still be finding low hanging fruit keywords to use for my articles.
But what if.........

And looking at my most recent post, type in:
jaaxy update
Into Google and see what you get. Took 10 minutes to get ranked under a good term with no thought going into the actual content.
Contribute regularly here and in a natural way and I can see your natural efforts paying dividends going forward. Another reason to interact within the community here at WA! :)
Hey Kyle, I searched jaaxy update in google and thought you might find this interesting. Look at the last listing on the page. Someone from EN who uses Jaaxy wrote a very positive review about it in their blog.
Here's my results about 30 minutes after posting. Now when I searched this term with the WA keyword tool, it showed 19.5 million pages. But look how many pages it shows it my search. http://d.pr/i/7mT3 pretty darn good I believe. Don't think anyone will find this article, but this is encouraging. What do you all think?
Not bad, and you probably couldn't have picked a more competitive term. Although we don't want people "keyword stuffing" for the sole purpose of doing this (without adequate supporting content), you have a pretty awesome test going here.
I will also keep an eye on this as some of mine and others are already ranking really good. Using just "online training" may be very difficult to rank for. Keep us posted!
