The Grasp and My Reality.

"Moving forward" should probably be the title of this blog. You see, back in 2017 if my memory serves me correctly, I joined Wealthy Affiliate but never moved up to the premium member status. Just looked through the course, but not much of anything else.

From 2006 to 2018 riding motorcycles and going to bike rallies was most of what I did when not working. Myrtle Beach to Sturgis and everything in between, had to have that wind in my face. Great times with no regrets! Met some amazing people and perhaps some not so amazing. (LOL) .

By the time 2019 rolled around I decided to sell my trusty Road King. After riding with a couple of different clubs and putting thousands of miles on my bike, it was time for a change.

Lake Life was the answer for both me and my beloved wife Amy. Not to mention our dogs Sadie and Zoe just love the water. Both are miniature schnauzers and have been around the lake most weekends since they were little puppies. Great dogs that just love to play fetch and chase the geese.

Sadie would swim as hard as she could trying to catch one. I used to think they would tease her by letting her get close and then swimming off with her close behind in hot pursuit... When she would come back I would always tell her " That was close, you almost got one". In reality, she wasn't even close but, believe me she gave it her all trying!

February 28th 2020 was probably one of the worst days I've had in a long time. My dog Sadie passed away in my arms just after midnight, She was 14 years old and one of the most amazing dogs I've ever had. All of our friends called her "My Shadow", anywhere I went she was always by my side. The hurt was so deep and the pain just doesn't go away even today. Every dog I'be ever had when they passed, I buried them myself. Of course Sadie was no exception.

The Grasp, trying to hold onto the memory of my Sadie. The only thing I had left were the incredible memories of all the great times. Swimming, playing fetch or just sitting on the couch watching TV.

The Reality of her being gone to this day is not easy to think about. So I started writing a journal of all the things we did together from the time she was a puppy until the time she passed. As, you can obviously tell I am very much a dog person. Over the years I have learned quite a lot about dog health, nutrition, exercise and some things your dog should never eat.

I always wanted to have my own website promoting dog health. What better way to enter this environment than through WA.

Now I have completed Level 2 of OEC and getting more and more confident with building my website for healthy dogs. I have also found a multitude of similar niches to get into as well. Many thanks to the team at WA for putting together such a comprehensive course that has really helped a newbie such as myself

You are a good writer, Fred. You kept me moving through this post. Up until about 5 years ago, I spent many hours on the road as well.
I rode a 76 Goldwing all dressed for a long time and then got a smaller but more powerful Intruder 1500. Gave it up because of back problems.
Now I drive a Miata with the top down to feel the wind. Sorry about Sadie. That loss is awful. I think a website on dog care is a great idea. Congratulations on completing level two.

Congratulations on finishing level 2 Fred.

I know how hard it can be to lose a dog, especially one you consider your best friend.

I still have fond memories of the dog I was brought up with. She was a Scotch Collie and, of course, her name was Lassie.

We were the best of mates and , if it wasn't for her incredible intelligence, I may not be here today. But that's a whole other story.

I have had other dogs since but none like her.

All the best. Jim

Thank you for sharing !

Awesome Fred! Definitely something to honor Sadie's memory! Well done, and she would be proud, I am sure!
