We're flooded and have our little private island now
Last week the river started to rise
Some of our neighbours got scared and fled to safer places, where ever that may be. The picture above shows the flooded meadows.
This was last week, we could still use our cars and walked around a lot, but now we're on a little island, together with a few neighbours.
We know we are safe, they promised to rescue us and all annimals are already safe. Just want to wish you:

We're lucky, we're not under water, our neighbours however are but we hear the river.

Thanks for your visual reply. We have little experience with flooding. Central Texas does flood, but not like this? Our rivers are not that big

The new year started with building a new website on which I offer people from our area a way to communicate and find belongings back, that were "stolen" by the water.

Almost Rudy! We live at the river called Ems in Germany, if my neighbours decide not to return after the water is gone we''ll consider it to take over their grounds. In that case we would have direct eye-contact with the, now very rough, river haha.

Hang in there, Farid! In 2019, my Salvage yard right by a river flooded, and I had to get rid of a lot of things! Stay safe, my friend! Your images portrayed that nicely!!

The dogs love the water and I started a new website, via which I hope I can help neighbours, so the German/Dutch area to retrieve their belongings. I only used a nice Domain, which stands for something very dead....
There's still some water coming, yesterday a dam broke in our area.

Yes, its actually in the bow of the River Severn , almost completely surrounded by water on a good day, with only a narrow spit of dry land.
The town floods every year. Fortunately my house was about 30 feet above the river so I was always dry.

Wow, here I didn't experience this kind of flood, we are still over the water, so lucky I guess. For the coming week the weather forecast is storm and more rain, we'll wait and see....
