I Think Mama's Got Some A.D.D.
So, I started off this morning writing up a post for my Essential Anointing website on garlic being a fantastic natural antibiotic. In my research I discover that garlic can interact badly with some prescription meds for blood pressure & HIV/AIDS etc, so now I need to put a disclaimer for that and list an alternative natural antibiotic (another article to write and link to). Then I realize "oh crap, I'm supposed to leave this site alone and focus only on the homeschool website" so I run over there to see what articles I have started. "Ooo homeschooling for free!" That requires at least 3 other articles to go with that one so I start on those, then I realize that one of the curriculum I'm reviewing might work for my daughter so I head over to check it out and I get caught up in finding the information I'm looking for so I can add it to the article. Then I see that an area that they were offering for free they will soon be changing and charging! Another article - an alert, really - to let people know if they want it they gotta get it now. That seems more urgent than the current articles. My list keeps growing and webbing into a huge thing and I find that I'm ending up with bunches of articles that never get completed and posted. It's pretty clear that I will never ever run out of content to post about homeschooling but will anybody ever get to see it? It's not looking like it so far.
How do you keep yourself from veering off onto these side roads that lead to other side roads and bridges to nowhere? This is craziness! I'm not going to give up but I'm not seeing how anything is getting accomplished either and success doesn't come from running in circles.
I don't want to put up content that is short on information just for the sake of putting up content, but no content on the site while I take forever to write them isn't good either. Is it?
HELP! I'm drowning in this web of content that seems to be growing by the second.
Seriously, is there a process or method that you use to help keep yourself on task at hand and not distracted by new ideas/information that threatens to take you to the land of ADD?
