Whats my Niche confused
I would like to settle this for once and for all. This hands down is gotta be the
toughest to me, and it shouldn't be. In the Online Entrepreneur Certification
Getting Started ( lesson 1) on lesson 3: choose a niche ( yep...that again )
Now this is how I understand it ( can be wrong )
training says the following in my own words:
Doing something you interested in is likely to make you successful. How I take it up
is if you don't choose a niche you interested in then you won't be successful yet it also
says the following: "you can earn money online from absolutely every single niche because
there are billions of people out there searching every day" . also the following: you can be
successful within ANY niche and you can always change your niche. whaaat......wait....confused
now either it is wrong or I am completely misunderstanding it ( very possible lol)
2nd thing is what happens if a person which in this case ( me ) don't really have any interests or
a passion for anything? what then happens, is it a good thing or a bad thing? What does a person
do in such a case? Does it mean I can't do internet marketing or what?
might as well throw this in here also, what if you can't use Amazon to promote?
any and all comments are welcome. maybe Kyle, Carson and Jay can give their feedback on this
also. I don't think I am the only one feeling like this so hope this is a helpful post.

Gerrit, you don't have to love your niche. I have been in niches over the years that I didn't really have a passion for, but I guess the end product of "helping" people and earning revenue was my passion within that niche.
So come up with whatever you like, it doesn't matter which niche you choose. Also, don't limit yourself to Amazon, it is one of 10,000's of affiliate programs that are out there.
If you simply can't come up with a niche, you may want to consider promoting WA through the bootcamp I am running right now.

I saw the wa affiliate bootcamp but I think to myself maybe I am not ready for it yet, you know, too inexperienced, guess not lol
It doesn't necessarily matter if a magazine is out, but that does show some really good popularity. You can actually leverage that magazine for ideas (content) and products that you could promote on your site.
You don't have to do the bootcamp, if you have a niche that you are interested in do that.
Gerrit, I think I understand what you are saying. First of all, you must've misread a word. It was meant, ' You can always CHANGE your niche, not charge. Man, you had me confused for a moment. Next, I was in the same position as you.....don't really have an interest worth putting work into, lazy, won't commit etc. Would you believe my niche is
'The Beuatifully Budgeted Wedding?' Man, I'm a bachelor and luvin it. But I found a niche on clickbank "Wedding Planning On A Budget," and went nuts. Maybe because I've been a bachelor all of my life, and I wanted to find out what it was all about, or whatever.

I kinda get what you are saying, very interesting niche indeed. again, thank you to both of you that did reply, I really thought there would be more that would comment on this, ah well, maybe I scared the people away or something? meh, I don't know lol
I think you are missing the boat. There are billions of people out surfing the internet every day. Some are looking for love. Some want to get in shape. Some just want to buy something. There are people doing research and people providing information. Anything and everything that you can think of is being searched.
If you don't have a passion for anything do you have an interest in something? Do you like a particular band? Is your mother-in-law's second cousin recently diagnosed with the idunnowhattheheck virus? Did you like a movie that has really cool effects?
Decide on something that you would like to know about. Learn about it and let people know what you have found.
The point is, anything can be a niche and with sufficient dedication it can be profitable for you. If you have a passion you are probably fairly well informed about this topic and like to write about it. This makes your job easier.
Amazon is only one affiliate network there are literally hundreds out there that you can use to promote many things. If you find that something isn't working for you, pick something else to work on. The possibilities are endless.
1st off, thank you for the reply Labman, yea, I am probably missing the boat or fell out of the bus maybe lol. the bottom line is there are affiliates with like 100 websites where they sell stuff, I can't believe all of those is something they are either interested in or even their passion, I read even that somebody even have a website about fishes but don't even have fish himself. yet the person is really doing good in it. I know 1 thing for a fact, Golf is the one thing I can't promote. on the side note, is there something wrong with this post, in terms of discouraging maybe? do I sound rude in any way?
Many people are doing quite well in the golf niche. Of course you don't want to promote the overall niche, you would want to focus on a specific part of it. How to putt better, why to use this club over that one. What good are rangefinders. What are the good rangefinders. That sort of thing. Choose a small bit of this huge market and you can excel.
no no, nothing wrong with the golf niche, I just really don't like golf, so that won't work for me lol

I wanted to make my niche stun guns but I am not sure if that is too broad. I have a particular home and personal defense brand in mind based on a website I wanted to create promoting their products prior to coming here. I did not have the money to get the ball rolling on that idea. Is my website supposed to be on comparing stun gun products? What should I be posting in my blog? I am broke and I won't be able to invest in a premium membership until I am able to make money the "free member" route, if that's even possible. Does anyone have any advice?
Is it possible to earn premium I suppose. The goal here should not be to make money fast though, it should be to create a business and that is exactly what we are going to teach you. If that is what you are looking for and what you dream of, you are absolutely in the right place.
The first month is typically your foundation building stage. In order to build a website that earns you consistent revenue, you need this foundation. After this, you are going to start seeing traffic and as you build this out, there are many different ways in which you can generate revenue.
Personally it took me into my 3rd month of busting my butt to make my first dollar online, by month 6 though I was making consistent income and by the year mark, I was almost full time.
But guess what would have happened if I quit during those first two "trying" months. I would not be where I am at today. Just wanted to put things into perspective for you.
