Is my niche too broad?
Hi Guys, I would be happy to get a little help on this question....My niche is about creating beats/electronic music with specialized software. A keyword I would use for this is "how to make your own beats with a daw" (Digital Audio Workstation). I could further specify it into "how to make your own beats with ableton" (a good DAW). Is this specific enough and how can I find out how many people (target audience) of the 2 billion people online are interested in it? I suppose in analyzing the keyword....
Have a nice day!

Hi, yes I have actually researched more keywords, also how to create your own beat, and I have found a lot with QSR under 300 and search volumes of about 500. Seems okay, doesn´t it?
Hi, I have found 124 keywords related to the niche, every keyword with under 200 QSR. The nearest I could find to "make your own beats" (because it has a QSR over 200) was "make your own music beats" which still has about 700 searches. Alone the keyword "beats" has a search volume of 162490 and a QSR of 97.
Hi Fabian,
Actually, I think it's very narrow! Yes, a good way (the only) way to check is the KeywordTool. "how to make your own beats with a daw" gets less than 10 searches per month, which is very low, let alone you'd rank. I'd go for "make your own beats" because it gets huge search volumes (5000+) per month and low QSR (competition) around 200. You can also get this keyword in your domain name. It's available in makeyourownbeats.net, unfortunately .com is taken. You may play around with the name. Then you could target any keyword, "make your own beats with ..." you name it, wich would make for a more profitable niche.
Anyway, that's only my opinion.
Hi, thank you for the advice, this seems to be a good keyword. I have researched more keywords... Can you tell me what exactly means the term "traffic" which is displayed in the keyword tool? Thank you.....
Keyword Tool give searche volumes which are very often higher than Traffic which estimates potential click throughs, and that makes sense: maybe 100 search for the keyword "beat", for example, but only 50 click on page.
for buying, we're still not there yet :) among those (50) people maybe 5 will like what you say and buy/click link/subscribe... and that's actually great conversion rate. Here's the thing, once you lure users to your website, it's up to you (through original, engaging content) to have them Click on anything.

Hello Fabian, I totally agree with iZed. The niche would be create your own beats, then I would have a review page and my posts would be review of the various products out there and/or have posts on "how to use," the various products.
Okay, that makes sense. Thanks!
