Hi!! I'm building my website but I still see just a little bit of traffic. I also created a Facebook and Twitter account, I'm on Google+ and also Quora. Am I missing something? Should I join other social media platforms hoping they are going to help me generate traffic?

This reply is in addition to the other replies you have already received.

Your website is still very young. I recommend you finish the training first. Don't get distracted and ahead of yourself.

I have done the Bootcamp training 4 times and every time there is something to improve on:)

Before joining other social media Fabiana, build up the traffic on the media you are using. Use landing pages, emails , advertorials and so on to max out traffic with what you have. It will build your site and prepare you belter with other media

Fabiana, just saw this comment. I too have done a tutorial that you should be able to use hand in hand with the one Mike mentions.

You're not missing anything at all :)

How many posts do you have on your site? how long have you had it? How often do you create content? Traffic builds over time but the key is consistent content creation. If just joining social media networks got you traffic on its own then there'd be no need for this training, right? :)

You're not doing anything wrong. Social sharing is an integral part of off-page SEO to get your content seen, but of course you have to be active with it and stick with it. Follow what Kyle says and engage your audience with each share instead of just sharing just the link by itself. Share more than just your own content too. If groups you're in see you as just a billboard for your own content they won't be interested.

The key is content creation above all else. Concentrate on that with good keyword research and continue to share across your social media and traffic will come :)

I have 5 posts on my site and I'm working on a new one now. Actually I joined WA over a month ago so I know I shouldn't get so worried but sometimes I feel I'm doing things in the wrong way :) Thank you very much for your comment, it helps!!

hey it's totally normal to want to make sure you're on the right track! don't apologize! You're doing great. It's nice and early on in your website's life span and before you know it you'll be looking back on 105 posts instead of just 5 and any questions about traffic will be long gone. But trust me, know matter how much you get you'll just be wanting more!

Keep it up!
