As I am going to create a website in Chinese, I know I will go to http://cn,wordpress.org/ to download a Chinese version of Wordpress. If I following the 4 steps of "create a we

The thing is when you install here at WA you install on a multi site which means your installation is kind of like a child version of the parent install

So you say you already have a chinese install version. What you could do is install the Chinese version on a local host (ie turn your own pc into a virtual server ) and then transfer your whole installation to WA

There are a few things you need to do before going ahead

1 - PM Kyle or Carson and ask them if you can install directly in WA with Chinese ( this would be much easier )

2 - If not as them if is possible for you to transfer an existing site ( In chinese ) to WA, if that will work?

if they say yes here are tutorials, one is to transfer and existing site to WA and the other is make an installation on your pc.

Transfer an existing site:

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/how-to-transfer-a-wp-site-to-wa-hosting

Install wordpress on your local PC:

http://www.muslimahwebdesign.co.uk/wordpresstutorials/course/install-wordpress-wamp-migrate-wordpress-new-server/

It's quite a technical thing to do though

Thank you. I am afraid your theory might work ONLY IF the wp-site and wa-hosting are using the same English version of Wordpress, but we are talking about 2 different Wordpress software.

yes but it can work by tweeking YOUR php.config

But you really would need to PM Kyle and Carson to make sure

1 - it will work
2 - They can access ot give you access to the root of your files if need be

Let me know the answer as I would be interested to know

This might help you. I haven't tried it - so I can't verify it would work but the steps seem clear enough http://eastasiastudent.net/study/wordpress-chinese-japanese-korean

Thank you. The link you referred is saying the same thing as Wordpress. This info is only good if you install it outside WA, which automatically install the English version. My concern is how to install the Chinese version in WA.

Hey, This may help you:
http://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_in_Your_Language

Thank you. I read it 10 times before I asked the question. This page does not help, but I find the solution: www.cn.wordpress.org

Glad you found and share your answer. Thanks!

does this help?

You can download and install a chinese version

http://cn.wordpress.org/

but I don't know how that would work with siterubix, perhaps you could PM Kyle or Carson to ask them directly

Thank you very much. This is exactly what I want.

how to create a follow me button?

Thank you. That helps.

If you are referring to social media, Kyle has published a training a few days ago. I think you should find the link quite easily but typing something like "Kyle social media plugin" in the search bar.

If you are referring to creating your own custom button to send to a page of your choice, there is a good plugin called Shortcodes Ultimate. You will be able to create buttons and many other useful things.

All the best.

Elaborate please.

How to upload a video larger than 8MB in media library?

Not a good idea to upload videos to your site it will slow the server down big time your web server is not geared up for video
Upload it to you tube and then embed the code on your site

Barry

Thank you for your info. I already knew what you told me. Your method is good only if you upload your created video, because you own the copyright. Sometimes you have to hide the source, such as other people's Youtube video, for obvious reasons. I tried cloud drive of hotmail.com to create an email link, but if I link it to my web page, the viewer practically watches the video in my cloud drive, in which I have no privacy. The ideal method is to download a Youtube video with a free Youtube Downloader into mp4 format, and then embed this mp4 with a software called Freemake (Freemake.com), which is not free but ask for a $9,.90 donation. When this mp4 is embeded, you upload it to the hosting server by FTP (because the hosting server, but not my media library, can swallow this huge embeded mp4). Freemake can convert any video into another format, and it is very fast, if you don't mind the donation, and I don't make an commission...

Hello, Windsor. As i see it you can upload to Youtube and then use the embeded code to add to your post. You could upload directly to your hosting account, and will be able to add it as a link in your blog post.If you have video hosting, some hosting companies have it, you can uploaded there and then embed it in your blog post.

When creating content and adding video to posts we need to be transparent and maintain integrity as a person. Otherwise people wont trust us, and we cant achieve success.
