Someone suggested adding links to about 12 products I've suggested for emergency prep. I'm concerned about Google frowning on some many in one post. Any suggestions?
Well the professionals have spoken.
I myself go with the flow of my article. example if I am speaking about a thing and other things come up. I want my readers to get the thing from me.
Just my way

Hi Jada! Thanks for sharing your practice. That's what I was thinking but was nervous about so many.

Go with you gut, it a learning curve and journey.
What I did not mention to be fair to you and I am sorry I didn't is that I do a lot of training and you pick up a lot of good ideas .
My last few article I tried something a little different and was less is more and they got indexed in less than 24 hours. so go figure.
a few weeks ago when I knew less I think I over loaded with links but used more words and got indexed within a week.
So either way I got indexed.
That's a great experience share! Thanks so much. Btw I left a couple of comments on your website. Bravo!
aaaah Thanks I really appreciate it
I have been over to your site and left a comment. oh my I would not have know anything about the weather there if you did not write this post.

You will find answers all across the map. I follow Jay's training (live events) closely. He recommends no more than 3 per page. But, a page consists of 1,000-1,500 words on average.
So, if you have a 3,000 word post - up to 6 links, etc.
Aloha Frank! Thank you. That's what I've been using as a guideline. Yet, I still see good reasoning to providing all the links to my suggested items makes sense.
I appreciate the help - now following ;-)

I think it all just depends on your traffic. If your getting a lot of traffic to your site i would imagine it would be reasonable. I'm not completely sure tho. I personally will mainly focus on my traffic and then when i feel i have a good amount start introducing one to two links. It depends with your content as well! Maybe your site is based around facts from various websites.
Hope this helped a little.
Best wishes,
Anna
Hi,
Having too many affiliate links it's definitely an issue that could be penalized by Google
The point: if you have a bunch of links without enough unique, helpful content, your site will be considered a thin affiliate site ... And that's bad ...
And about your question: I would say that you should have around 500 words for each link. With 12 links that would be 6,000 words

Aloha! can anyone tell me links how many are too many?

how many do you have left that don't have any that is all that matters. Just keep up the good work and there won't be any problem.
