Before I say anything I want to let you all know that this is a legit question. It seems that this type of question angers people and that is not my intention.

I want t

Stick with Amazon no matter how long it takes ..it pays to persevere

Thanks, Rich.

I will take your advice to heart!

No luck so far, but I'm only with them a month or so...early days
Best wishes,
Cheers...PB

Same here, Phil. I'm thinking I should give it more time and effort.

Although I am not very active in pursuing this affiliate channel, I do believe the effort is worth it when it comes to monetizing it...

This is an income stream that grows over time, and although the commission rate is not that great, it can still be significant. There are members here that are having tremendous success with this program.

The reason I am NOT actively pursuing this (although I do have some sites that are focused on Amazon sales) is that other types of online marketing are of more interest to me...

I like to create things, systems, and businesses. The three passions mean that although Amazon is one way to do this, I get more satisfaction building something I have control of top to bottom...

It is for this reason my focuses are selling my own products (physical and digital), drop-shipping (less control), and then affiliate marketing (Amazon, IM products, and even clothing)...

To each his own, and only you know what is of highest interest for you....I will say that unless you feel strongly about a niche or a line of business, it will be hard to keep at it until you reach your goal...

Best of luck!

I feel the same way. I almost quit on my site and made a new one for this reason alone. But today I decided to keep at it until I generated some income from it. Afterwards, I'd decide if I stick with it or not.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. They were very helpful :)

I think it's worth it even though the commissions are lower, the conversion rate is higher than a lot of other affiliate programs. You get commissions for everything that customer buys on Amazon in that purchase, even if it is unrelated to what you were promoting.

I've gotten regular commission checks from Amazon for the past 3 years.

Thanks for the advice.

By the way, I've read your blog before - good stuff you got there!

Yes you should. Amazon sends me money monthly. This pleases me

"This pleases me"

It would be pleasing to me, as well. lol

I haven't made any sells thru Amazon yet. I would think, commissions would be based on the price of the Item. (The higher the item, the bigger percentage commission). You should also look into Clickbank market place.

Hi Ronald, the percentage is the same. However, it goes up if you have more sales.

Kyle recommends it. That really says it all. I haven't had much success yet, a few small sales and a few sales that aren't related to my website from people buying other things. I don't have much choice in my niche tbh as most of the products I promote are on Amazon. I do have other affiliate programs too, so all my eggs are not in one basket, so to speak. The commission goes up as in line with your sales. I'll be happier when that happens :)

Hey Craig,

Yeah that's why I'm asking. My niche is also one of those that doesn't have many options when it comes to affiliate programs.

My Google+ is ranking better than my website.

I have some blog posts that I've shared on my google+, abd they are ranking on the first page of google, except they're my

I am going to keep this as I have no idea what is being talked about but know that I SHOULD and will need to know!

Are you searching in incognito mode? If you search as yourself, Google will show your G+ posts ranking highly. Unfortunately, it's not real and no one else will see the posts in search. I'm not sure why they do it but it's a common scenario. You might want to try using https://www.serplab.co.uk/ (it's free) to check your rankings.

Ok yes you're right. Google is simply showing me my own posts but no one else can see them. That's depressing but at least I know now how it works. Thank you!

That is interesting. I have not heard or seen that myself before. I wonder. Which post occurred first. Is the content going to your site and then to your google+ page or vice versa. Another thought is traffic. Do you have a lot of followers through your plus page and not a lot of traffic on your site. If so, that would shift the relevancy.

Yes I have about 61 followers but no traffic coming to my blog as of yet. Thanks for the thought, i'll check that out.

And yes I post on my blog first, then my plus account.
