Revisting Google Alerts
When we first land here it is suggested that we set up some Google alerts amongst other things, It is sort of something that you do. They sit there, landing in your inbox, if I am honest I did not really get that much value from them.
I have just revisited my alerts and rehashed my alerts introducing some keyword associated alerts that are more attuned to my areas of interest.
The real value in this is that I am now getting some really good information, content ideas, and niche related trends. So if you are like me then do some housekeeping you may be pleasantly surprised with the results.
Having said that it is always good to do some maintenance, we gather so much information and so many resources if they are not providing value then discard ruthlessly.
Don't be shy about it.

This is a really useful reminder! I am constantly saving information to look at or delete later, then not actually getting around to doing either. So I seriously must start factoring in housekeeping regularly. Many thanks, Sue :)

We can all become collectors of information and resources and not actually use anything of value that at the end of the day can propel our endeavors forward. thank you for your input Debbie.
I agree. I guess you learn what works for you and what doesn't as time goes on. The whole idea of revisiting is a good one. Once I finish up level 2 certification, I plan to go back to the beginning of level 1 and scan through each lesson just as a reminder and make sure I'm not forgetting or overlooking anything.

Frankly within the last few weeks a lot of articles that pop up as a result of the Alert I have said up have become stale!
