Finding Information From Specific Websites Quickly A Little Cracker
Doing research can be a time consuming process and streamlining that can help us out immensely. Here is a simple way to do some research quickly.
Researching specific websites for term specific information.
Start by searching the specific website, also putting in the search term.
In this case we are searching the site, search engineland for the specific term local seo.
Start by putting,
site: in your browser search box.
followed by the specific website.
followed by the specific search term.
site:searchengineland.com local seo
Just put in the the website minus the “ htttps:// “ or it will not work. Also run the specific website together and with gaps between the term you are searching for.
The results that you obtain should be related to your search term in this case “local seo” and they should be from the website that you are searching, in this case “ serachengineland .com “
So Google has kindly presented search results from the desired website that are related to local seo.
Select a result and explore further.
From here we can drill down and seek specific terms within the content
On windows just push; Crt+F
Crt+ F on the keyboard and it will bring up the search function. I am unfamiliar with macs but there will be a command to do the same thing on those devices.
When the box pops up just enter your search query it will highlight the term in the text body and give the number of times the text is mentioned.
Simply scan through the text body and your search term will be highlighted. Just an example but it is an easy process to scan the article for the specific term or terms.
So we are not copying but rather quickly researching websites for specific information.
You may see the potential in this simple system, hope that it helps you out. Shortening that research time leaves more time for writing that blockbuster article.
Enjoy
Alex
