We gotta chill on the bounce rates.
So, I know we're all here for the same reason and I know we're all busy but I'm noticing that when I have views on my site, people are bouncing.
The whole point of viewing each others content is to go through it and see how it looks.
Our bounce rates shouldn't be high if we're getting traffic from here, right?
We all need to know how we're getting along and we can't do that if we're simply opening pages, taking a quick glance at the first page and then exiting.
I think we should try to make it a goal of ours to view at least 2 pages of each others sites when we're asked to view them.
Just an idea! :)

This is part of self discipline, I'm just returning a favor to others and need to be consequent.
What a great idea. I am hereby making it my goal to visit at least two WA member sites a day and spend time looking around, checking out items, commenting, etc. I want to be supportive both in WA's "back office" but also outside.
I agree, If your in a hurry you've got no time for commenting. Your not helping any if you can't leave a quality comment. Hard sometimes but at least try. Cheers!

The bounce rate is generally not too much affected by the guys here at WA. But there is tending to be a surge of Russian traffic at the moment causing this problem. They tend to be staying on pages for 0.01 seconds and gone. Check your Locations and the Geo and you will probably notice the same. These guys have my bounce rate up at 55%
I haven't seen anything from Russia on mine right now - my main visitors are from USA, which makes me think it is just from here as I've only given my link to people within WA. That's the whole reason for my post. It is a shame that theres a surge of Russian traffic at the moment too, it sucks for you :( but maybe with some help from people here, we can reduce that!
Funny enough, since I read this blog a new blog post came into my inbox today directing me to DomW's blog about bounce rates. And after reading it I feel we all get a little to anxious about bounce rates when after all they are just a harmless stat. If people find what they need on one page why would they bother going to another one. I know Dom has been here a long time on WA and certainly knows his stuff. Here is his post Bounce Rate - Do You Need To Care?
I hope it helps you out.
