There’s a deep pool of informstion on WA, but I was wondering if anyone had read any books that they had found to be helpful. If so, what did you learn from this book? I&

Yes, I can recommend quite a few. But can you be more specific about what aspect of e-comm you'd like to read more about?

For instance, is there a particular kind of online business you want how-to manuals for? Do you want to read about enterprise security? Biographies from successful online people? More overarching introductions?

I’m sure WA members will have plenty of tops suggestions for their favourite business books, too. Are you considering marketing a list of such books as an affiliate? If so, which books have you already considered recommending?

I wasn't considering marketing books as an affiliate, but that's a good idea!

Biographies of individuals that have found success online would be nice. I saw a book online that I'm thinking of ordering, but I wanted to ask around first. It had to do with long tail keywords. I believe it was called "Chasing the Long Tail", or something like that.

Any suggestions would be nice! I'm only just starting out here; I just learn really well from books. Thanks for your help!

I'm much the same, I love a deep-dive on a hardcopy book!

Although there are a few self-published works on Amazon I would not have purchased with a better look inside. Poor edits, few insights, rambling lack of structure etc.

I've considered offering reviews, but think for that poorer standard of book it's probably nicer to just not touch them at all.

I'll take a look at my selection later today and get back to you.

I've been reading more and more about the pros and cons of the various themes within Wordpress. I'm not totally sold on the theme I have now and I'm considering changing it soo

Hey Erik,

It took me ages to find a theme when I started out, but I finally found ones that I liked.

Last year I decided to go with Schema theme (from MyThemeShop) for my WA site, as it was a very clean and simple theme, which also allowed me to use AMP plugin

And I currently use Thrive Themes for my Niche website.

Overall I personally prefer Thrive Themes. I just like the look and feel of them. They are clean and just stand out a lot more in my opinion. I can usually notice when a blogger is using Thrive Themes. The main downside is that it doesn't allow me to integrate with AMP, which I don't mind so much for my niche site.

But to be honest, both themes are very high-quality themes. I'm able to customise them the way I want, and there's lots of support from the theme owners too.

Before that, I was using Nirvana, which is a free WordPress theme. This is good because it still allows for more customisation than most free themes.

Hope that helps,
Steph

I tried quite a few themes and settled on NatureSpace. I love it. I like it so much I decided to use it for my second and third websites as well! I played around with a few others when I started those sites but came back to NatureSpace.

I love that it is simple and clean but not so simple that it looks boring. I like that it has room for a wide panoramic photo across the top. It is mobile friendly and has many other good features. You can choose a wide or narrow format, choose how many columns you want etc.

The only downside I have found so far is that there are only three color choices for the titles and site name. You can have green, blue or pink. I don't have any use for the pink so that just leaves me two choices. So far that is ok as long as I find a good font (there are plenty of options there).

My sites are all blog sites with the blog roll front and center. My first is on cat health and behavior where I review unique products and supplements we use to treat common problems.

My second site is just starting and will be about nutrient deficiency and supplementation (for people) and my third site will be a WA promotion/work from home site.

I hope you find just what you need!

Jessica

Thanks for the informstion! I've never heard of NatureSpsce but I'll definitely look st it.

Do you use the lite version or have your bought the theme's pro version? I've been reading that investing in the premium themes is worth the money.

I use the free version. It has all I need.
