Lab Lessons

So, two weeks ago we rescued a beautiful 11-month old black lab puppy. My 4-year old grand-daughter named him "Buddy" ("Bud" for short).

Couldn't compete with that!

We've been without a family dog for seven years.... it took that long to mourn the loss of our last four-footed friend.

But we finally took the plunge.

Dogs can really impact your life. They teach you a lot! For Buddy, life is pretty simple. He eats right, gets plenty of exercise, unconditionally loves his family, and keeps his nose out of other people's business. Great lessons.

Actually.... REALLY great lessons! Congress should consider it!

His greatest trait is his tail. Some say a dog's tail is his smile. He can completely change your whole demeanor by wagging that tree so his whole body follows!

We could probably learn a thing or two about smiling like that, and living simply....

I love my golden lab, Harley. He is so energetic and fun. They love unconditionally. We could learn alot from our furry four footed friends.
Enjoy Bud!

Our version was Ted. Still miss him to this day....20+ years ago.
Looking forward to connecting with you.

Labs are fantastic dogs. We have a golden one and he is my "other son"!

Aww, what a cutie. As an animal lover I couldn't resist replying to your post.

That's a great insight; dogs naturally live "right". They exercise and spend time with their loved ones.

OK, maybe some dogs do eat too much, and I have heard about some dogs that are lazy to take walks. But in general, you're right. :)
