  • Delivering the most value with your captions
  • Experimenting with hashtags (which ones to use and how many) during your initial growth phase

What about you?
How much thought do you put into your caption? How much value are you delivering? What kind of hook do you use to tease of the value just behind the click? Are you connecting with your audience? How many and what kinds of hashtags are you using?

Tell me all about it in the comments below!

Good info again, Eric. Thanks for that.

Your account is growing nicely and I like the feeling of just get it out there, test, and find out what works.

Have fun with it.

It is impossible to be perfect right out the gate, but we can learn what works better than what doesn't. But only if we test.

Exactly.

Killer class, Eric. I’ve been testing questions in the captions too gets people talking. I usually stick with 3,4 hashtags, so that tip on using smaller ones really hit. I’ve got one that’s starting to show up with my Wildfoot brand. Gonna test more of those. Anyway, I’m on my way to the next class appreciate the insight!

Glad you’ve enjoyed this case study!

This is really useful info, Eric, thanks.
I like the overall feel and look in your reels and I think that your attention on the visual formatting of the images and text works well.
Thanks
Gail

Hey Eric,

Thanks again for sharing this important message. I have heard you should not se more than about three hashtags, but then again that info might be inaccurate.

You hear many different opinions online and sometimes you have to just test to see what works best for you. I like to look at various experts and see what the common denominator is, and that would most likely be accurate.

You have a total of 30 you can use. In a regular post or carousel post I’d use 18-20, in a reel I’d use 7-9.

Hello,Eric thanks for waking me up, yeah I have done some reels but I haven't got right into it and really I should dig deeper and start showing up on instagram everyday, hashtags yeah I got to really have a look at that as well. cheers have a great day Jon
