Do You Ever Take a Sunday Reset?
It's easy for an entire week to blur together when you're working on a project for yourself. We hit it hard, we inevitably get side tracked (totally normal), we get some stuff done, but before we know it one week has blended into the next and we're not really keeping track of our progress.
Take a second to ask yourself:
What content did I publish?
What did I learn?
What didn't work?
What crushed it?
If you're more analytically inclined you might come up with a spreadsheet to track this (that's not me at all). Or you might just keep a running log or journal to track your wins and losses.
Instead of making a huge list that you'll never finish, how about planning one big win for the week? Go after that one thing you'll be proud of by next Sunday. It could be as simple as publishing a new article, creating that lead magnet, or recording a full video for YouTube.
Take the time to plan your Monday.
I'm a huge fan of making things easier for myself. Think of something you can prep today that'll make tomorrow an easy start to your week. Maybe brainstorm with GPT and outline a script, plan some awesome looking social media posts, get your creative juices flowing, or even just organize your desk and your work space so it's ready to go.
Sundays are for rest, and at the very least a reset.
Get yourself ready for the week ahead, and don't forget to track those wins!
By the way, how legit is this AI of me, 😂

Great message. It’s so easy to get lost in creating endless content, but we need take the time to properly understand what works.
This hit the spot as I have spent the last week more on reviewing and planning than creating. It has helped me focus on what steps I need to take to make some holistic ballistic bombshells for my YouTube site…

Hello Eric, your blog post is something that I can relate to specially with my busy schedule. I have to balance my time between college and be a mum in the same time fortunately, my school is just walking distance from home so whenever I have vacant time I ran quick to home so that I can take care my daughter, clean the house and work here in WA. It is very challenging but I enjoyed it because I find it as my purpose. On Sunday, yes is our rest day at least hehehe we always love to eat out and watch the sunset. anyway thanks for sharing Eric , before I carried away hehe .

Good morning Eric,
Thank you for your blog post, I do understand 100% where you are coming from.
Over the years, I have had a few Sundays where I have worked, but I have always disliked it, we all need to take a step back, at least once a week and do something that is different from the rest of the days.
In my experience, if I work seven days a week, the following days will be less productive. My theory is that I can get more done in 5 to 6 days, than I can in 7 days!
The problem with technology, is that it's right at our fingertips, but sometimes we need to just turn everything off and take a step back.
I'm currently in Greece, the other night I was having some to eat, there were about 20 people sitting on tables on the beach, 17 of them were on their smartphone!! Sometimes we need to communicate with each other, without the use of technology!
Incidentally, I would say the AI picture is pretty accurate! I don't know if the background represents anything that is close to you?
Have a great day.

Wow, this post really hit home for me! It’s so true how the days can blur together when you're working solo on your own project. I love the idea of focusing on just one big win per week—it makes everything feel more achievable and less overwhelming.
I also appreciate the reminder to pause and track what’s actually working (and what’s not). Sometimes we get so caught up in “doing” that we forget to reflect.
And yes—Sundays are definitely for rest and a reset! I’m taking your advice and planning out my Monday today. 💪
P.S. That AI version of you is actually scarily legit

I never actually take any kind of "reset" because family always "want" or "need" something unfortunately. But I'm gonna start setting boundaries from now on and having 'phone switch off' days to get stuff done AND have time to set proper plans. Otherwise, what's the point in trying to build something meaningful when others get in the way (as harsh as it sounds lol)?
Appreciate the Sunday inspiration though :)
Yeah family always takes priority, totally understandable, but when you can sneak one in, get that reset 👍🏼
Perhaps you could name it "sneaky Sunday reset" lol.
