Overcoming writer's block

If you are staring at that blank page and wondering what to write, here are a couple of ideas I use that may help to get you going:
- I go through my previous posts. Sometimes I have written something I have forgotten about that leads perfectly into a new post.
- I may have an idea but no real clue of how to make it into a full post. I go to Google and type in a sentence related to the idea. I read the top few posts and soon I have an outline for an article - no copying though, just getting ideas.
- I go to Buzzsumo and type in a keyword. If I type in 'empty nest', for example, I find an article about a mother who took drastic measures when her college son didn't call her back. This immediately sparks some ideas for a post.
- Sometimes, I don't focus on posts with affiliate links at all. I just create a post where I am open about my struggles, failures and successes.
- Recently, I have considered doing a post which is a round-up of the best posts I have found relating to my niche on other websites. I thought this would be a good way to reach out and make other people in the same niche aware of my existence.
What ideas do you have for getting rid of writer's block?
