The Life Trap.
Settling. This is what drags us down. We find ourselves doing the same thing every day and we wonder why we are stuck. We wonder when our happiness will come. Will it ever come? It won't if you don't initiate a change. A change does not always have to be a big one for miracles to happen. It can be even as small as taking 15 minutes per day to yourself to meditate (Headspace and Calm are wonderful FREE apps), or to commit to one class per week at the gym. Incorporate small changes that you can truly commit to. Don't set a goal for yourself that is already making you feel unsure.
If at work for instance, you do the same thing for your break, maybe next time ask a coworker if he/she would like to join you for a walk. We tend to isolate ourselves without even noticing it.
Weekends give us the time to relax and get ready for the new work week. If you have the free time, research what is going on in your community and see if there are any volunteer opportunities. I was actually unemployed for a while at one point so I started volunteering at a local animal shelter. I fell in love with it and I am still helping them even though I now have a job. Taking care of the dogs - which led me to adopting two of my own- brings lots of joy and happiness to my life.
The main issue is that many of us truly believe that nothing can change. We settle for our current routines and just live with what we have. If this makes you happy and you are completely satisfied, then great!! The goal is to be happy and to live the life that was meant for you. If you know you are meant to live for more, then keep searching and keep trying. Don't give up. Life is too short. Try it all!
Best,
Eva

So great that you have adopted two dogs from a shelter. There is way too many in shelters and yet more and more are being bred every day. Great post

Yes, and they will continue to be bred because of its profit gains. It's unfortunate but that is the world we live in. More and more people are beginning to adopt which is great. I would adopt 2 more right away if I can. I hope that day will be sooner than I imagine. =) Thank you for the Follow Douglas, and I look forward to reading your posts as well! Take care and have a great weekend.

Well said, Eva, it can be so easy to get caught in the middle. Deep down everyone wants change, creating it is another thing.
Your post is a great reminder, we should all make the most of the opportunity that pop into our lives.

Thank you Alex for the message.
Yes, that is exactly correct... creating it is the real challenge. There is a starting point for all of us. We just need to be open to it. =)
