Let's Brainstorm some Niches for Websites.

So, I 've started the selection process of what I want to create my websites around. Yes, I made the word website plural. Multiple websites for me. I will be doing some brainstorming here and hope that this quick read will help people (AND help myself) refine the niche(s) they are going to pursue. It will help to create a list in the end.

1. A niche that I am very familiar with and know a lot about, such as the industry I work in or the formal training I received at University.
2. Something I am passionate about. This may be the same as item one, but more than likely it will be something you enjoy as a hobby or may have trained yourself on or gained while you were growing up.
3. Something that I have no experience or knowledge of. This would be something that you want to learn, that you are interested in, but don't feel comfortable with. But want to.
4. Something random. Find something that you have NEVER heard of and find very random and unrelated to any aspect of you life.
5. Something that you don't want to learn about, have no association with, and aren't really interesteed in.

Now, I hope that you are either excited about this list and outline, or you are confused. If that is the case, I think that you are ready to start reading this again from the beginning, or you are ready to challenge yourself with building a list.

If you are grumpy, angry, put-off, and/or pessimistic about it all, you aren't ready. Maybe you can just take the first three and work on that. I hope that the last two linger in you mind and eventually you come back and get out of you comfort zone and discover something that challenges you way of thinking. And hopefully you discover what you HAVE been working on gets better, or you find a path that creates some excitement for you.

If you have value in what you do, you can thrive. When you thrive you have the motivation to more forward with more speed and commitment in what you do. Let's thrive in creating our websites and online presence.

Here's my list:

1. Welding and manufacturing techniques. (ARC/TMAW, MIG, TIG, machining, Oxy-Gas)
2. Things that are edible, sweet, and delicious. (pop, ice cream, candy, Soda Jerks, drinks)
3. Web Programming and Design. (Wait?!!??? WHAT?!?!?!??? How convenient.)
4. The pangolin, bats, and zoonotic diseases. (Pretty obvious this post was written around the beginning of 2020. Or, not. Maybe item #3 will help me influence and improve this?)
5. So challenging, but I would have to say, The Superbowl, Quilting, Interior Design, Energy Drinks, and Reality TV. So telling, right? I wonder how this will influence my ability to make money and monetize online by NOT using these?

Now, on to the research and the creation of my websites and getting all the technicalities together and widgets and plug-ins connected and working on my sites!
