7 Ways to Get Free Traffic

1. Posting on Medium.com. Medium is a website you can go use to post your content to kind of like a social media site for authors. Neil suggests that you post the first 4 to 5 paragraphs of your article on medium and then have a click to continue reading link that links back to your article. He also suggests that you have a pop up on your site that collects their email address. That way you can email them every time you publish new content which allows them to keep coming back to your website.
2. Post whole articles on Linkedin. Neil suggests posting your whole article on Linkedin and include an info graphic linking back to your website.
3. Try to get on a podcast of an authority in your niche by asking them for a quote for an article you are writing and say you will link back to them. Then email them the link to the article that you wrote with their quote in it and they might ask you to be on their podcast or you could ask them if you could be on their podcast to talk about the content that you wrote. It’s worth a shot which could potentially drive a lot of free traffic to your site.
4. Do an Expert Roundup. Ask experts and influencers in your niche to give you their #1 of something have them all list them out and then you write a piece of content on it. Most experts will want to link to that content which could bring you tons of free traffic depending on the niche you are in.
5. Point-based system for contests and giveaways. With this strategy, you give people points for sharing the contests and giveaways on their social media accounts. You can also give them points for blogging about it. Basically, the more they promote and more people they refer the more entries they receive in your giveaway. You want it to go viral and that would be huge for your business!
6. Use OnePress Social Locker Plugin. With this WordPress plugin you can lock certain aspects of your content and people have to share your content before it can be unlocked for them to read it all. This strategy can help make your content go viral. I have seen this used on sites before but it might annoy some people. You could test it and see how it works.
7. Re purpose your content with video. Like it’s starting to be taught here on WA. Do a video that coincides with your articles. This can really help with the engagement factor of your content. People are more engaged when watching a video than just reading an article. I believe video is going to be one of the more important factors in your online business success in the near future.
