I used to be the type of person who think I would be happier if I just go with the flow and not fight the current. I just go wherever life takes me and deal with the punches every now and then. I was in a way living a calm and happy life where I see myself like a fallen leaf on the stream just going with the flow. I was effortlessly enjoying the ride, moving along aimlessly.But guess what, where does the stream go and what's the direction of the stream? You're right, all streams go downward and it seemed like that's where I was heading - downward! What a dangerous ride!
One day I realised I wasn't the one taking charge of my own life. I let my environment and my circumstances drive my life. That's when I realised that I need to take action and direct my life where I want to be. That was the day when I started making real decisions and took responsibility of the outcome. Yes, I believe life is what we make it and of course with the guidance from someone above us (it doesn't matter what your religion is, we all know there is a higher being above us), we are where we are now.
Each day we are faced with choices and with each we need to make a decision. These decisions shape our future. What decisions are you making today?

I decide every day to try to listen to that One and make decisions in guidance. Though in my humanity I have certainly made mistakes, lol. For me it is not religion it is a loving relationship!
I agree with you Cristabelle. To me, it's a special relationship with my God who provides me everything and guides me every step of the way. Although at times I don't listen and those are the times I made mistakes! lol.. I still see mistakes as a blessing though because we learn from them :)
