Losing Interest In My Niche

Hey everyone!

I started training through Wealthy Affiliate a little over a week ago. I racked my brain for a niche, and after many ideas came and went I settled upon one that I thought would be great.

Well... after 5 consecutive days of writing new posts for my niche I'm starting to run out of ideas. I understand that our training suggests there are endless amounts of ideas for one niche, but none of the options I get excited about. Plus, writing 1000 word posts is a bit daunting and'm usually only logging in about 500+ word posts every
day. Even that has been tough for me.

Does anyone else find this challenging?

I will add in here that I've already indexed on Google about a couple days ago (YAY!). So that was extremely motivating to keep up the daily posting! It makes me believe that this program does work - but I definitely want to enjoy what I am doing.

So here's the question - Do do I keep moving forward with my niche since I've already been indexed? Or should I start a new niche with the knowledge I've gained but in a category that I know I could write new content almost every single day?

Here's another blog you may want to visit: Am I blogging my "TRUE" passion?

You are not losing interest, you are at a point that you need to address your niche from a different angle! Also, try take blogging about something totally different from your niche, something other than the niche, that you would like to share.

It worked for me, I know because I did it. My niche: Smartwatches. One day hit a bump and came across a picture so I blogged about it. "Falling at 120 MPH!" Do a search on it. It has nothing to do with smartwatches but readers attention and conversations started that got me back on track.

Sometimes, we just need to pause, step away and enjoy life for a minute or two!

I’d swap now :) I think especially at the start it’s so important to keep momentum that a niche you are excited about and can think of heaps of things to write about just makes it so much easier.

Perhaps don’t trash the first site, you never know you might find ideas start coming at some point for that one.

I find with my niche site some days I’ll be doing something with the horses and I’ll think, oh yeah that’d make a good blog, I think people would be interested in that. So ideas just come because I am immersed in that space.

Yes, that is how it is for me with both of my sites. My posts are based on my daily experience in these niches. If I run out of ideas I can always find a different keyword to write about one of the same topics again.

I would never choose a niche I did not find personally interesting.

I think I may have narrowed my niche down too much. Where I would love to have more of a broad niche/interest where I write about interests that happen to me on a daily occurrence, like you said.

I tried, I’ve got a site selling a popular product, that should be a winner, but I’m not interested in the product and I know nothing about it, so nothing ever gets done on that site.

It just seems like hard work, where as the other two I love writing and can use my daily experiences as food for blogs :)

My niches are cat health and behavior (all included) and nutrient deficiencies and supplementation (human...not cat!). Between these two broad niches I can always find something to write about. I sometimes run out of ideas for the cat site since I only promote products I actually use and like. If that happens I just look for a different keyword and write another post about the same product however. I review some great supplements there so I could use a keyword such as "Solution for ...." and then later do another post with the product name as the keyword/title.

On my nutrition site I have a ton of ideas, just haven't had the time to write about all of them.

I don't agree with the super, super narrow niche approach. It just isn't for me. I don't want to make a website about just one product.
