Watch out, Twitter was hacked. Do you think you're safe?
Hello WA Family,
Today I was busy cleaning up my website, re-scaling my featured images, deleting plugins that I don't need. My site speed is poor. After I've done auditing the website, I will probably give up and just install Generate Press as my new theme.
During my break from my computer, I checked my phone. Got rid the notifications, then I went to check my social media accounts.
I found out that Twitter was hacked. Some famous people's accounts got hacked by bitcoin scammers. From Obama, Joe Biden, Elon Musk, Bill Gates. Even some big companies account like Apple's too got hacked.

Just a short blog today to remind everyone that it is important for us to create a good password and update it now and then. I update my password every 6 months or so.
I like to create my password with the combination of upper case letter, lower case letter, numbers and then symbols. How the heck I remember it? I choose something that I will always remember. But don't use birth date, your phone number, or some data that is easily stolen and can be used against you.
My husband and I created a password protected spreadsheet on our main computer at home where we keep all of our account complete with old password, date when it was last changed, and new password. Just in case we forget then we can simply pull up the data from that document.
What do you do in order to protect your social media accounts?
Do you update your passwords regularly?

I have been using Roboform for years and I don't know what I would do without it.
This program allows you to generate and store passwords, save addresses and credit card info, etc. in their secure cloud. It can be retrieved to automatically fill in fields on any website. I can access my passwords and other info across all platforms and I use it on my Windows and Mac computers as well as my iPhone and iPad tablets. It can automatically remind you to update passwords after a certain time period.
I use the Generatepress theme and like it but to keep my mobile load speed in the 90 - 98 range I still need to minimize plugins and all that stuff. It could improve your speed but might not make a huge difference compared to the theme you are currently using.
