My name is Elle, I contain less than zero technical savvy but have been searching for a long time for a way to accomplish the dream of working for myself and supplementing our income without taking time away from my family and believe I may have finally found a way to do that with WA.

I have a university degree in Exercise and Sport Science, I am a FA certified PT and Exercise Professional but most importantly I am a mum of two beautiful 17 month old girls (hopefully with another coming along soon!).
Before falling pregnant I had dreams of running my own physiology clinic and was enrolled to start my clinical masters a few months after I found out I was having twins. My first thought was ‘I can totally do it all’ then reality set it and I realized how difficult and complicated my pregnancy journey was going be so all other priorities were immediately dumped. Thanks to a lot of prayer and faith my girls were born healthy but I was now faced with a new challenge- sleep deprivation, and not just bags-under-my-eyes- tired but falling-asleep-standing-up tired and all ambitions for my future career slowly faded further away from my new reality.
This wouldn’t usually be a major issue for a young mum however a few months before falling pregnant I turned to my husband who was a medic in the Australian Army and informed him that I couldn’t go through another tour or stand the thought of constantly moving around with a young family. So in a huge act of bravery he resigned and started all over again as a carpenter, which is great for our home renos but a massive strain on our financial stats. Which in turn lead me to my current state of desperately needing to supplement our income but struggling to work under a majority of conditions that working mum’s battle with and without having to completely ignore my little ambitious voice in the background.
I apologies in advance for the many questions that may inundate the chat room…
Nice to meet you.
Elle.

Hi Elle - I can sure relate to your situation - I am a mom to 2 baby angels - age 6 and 15 months, and we are also struggling to work for ourselves while raising a family. My husband and I both left good careers in an effort to be there full time for our children, and have made every decision since to continue this journey. It does get easier once you get used to the uncertainity and get some practise with maintaining your faith in yourself. And the benefits of being there for your family are sooo worth it! I'm a night person anyway, so I do most of the computer work in the middle of the night while the kids are in bed - you get more and more used to functioning great on lack of sleep... ;) Best of luck to you with everything and I look forward to connecting with you in the future :)

Hi Elle,
It was great to read your profile and I am guessing you are still living in OZ (as we say). I am from Brisbane and great to have someone close by who is also on the same journey. Yes, I am completely new as well.
Your wedding photo is beautiful. Look forward to chatting.

Hi Elle, thanks for following me! When i started i was also way below zero on any knowledge of Internet marketing or website building. But the great thing here is t h at WAis designed for everyone and i followed the lessons methodically, did all the assignments/tasks at the end of each without skipping anything or peeking at next levels. I am slowly getting more confident and secure in the knowledge im obtaining and how to apply it. I am sure you will do great and am looking forward to see your websites! Training and sport are a big part of my life and it seems like this us area you can contribute to a lot!☺

Thank you Linda, that is very kind of you to say and I am thrilled to have you in my section. However I read your own story and feel you should very much have your own cheering section, you are a very strong woman and it's amazing to have people here at WA such as yourself to keep a watch out for the beginners!

I also hope my creative bubble still exits somewhere in there under all the mothering and baby talk...

Thank you for writing to me, it's lovely to meet you :)

You are welcome, Elle. And yes, your creative bubble is right there just waiting for that moment when it will lift up your genius and delights and spread them across your life.

You'll be fine. The baby talk and mothering will go by quickly as you are busy and when those days are gone you might actually find you will yearn to experience them again. Being a mom is an amazing journey all of its own!

Hi Kyle :) WA has been great, just making my way through the lessons and trying to figure it all out. Though I haven't gotten through as much as I would have like this week as my twins have been really sick = me getting 0hrs sleep!

I do have one question that's worrying me, my niche is basically raising twins however I have recently run into a problem which I didn't previously consider. Only about 2% of births each year are multiples, which in Australia equates to approximately 5000 births- a relatively small target audience. Will this affect my traffic or my affiliate marketing potential?

Warm regards,
Elle.

Sorry to hear about your twins being sick, that must be double to the work and attention (as I can only imagine having a little two year old girl).

Raising twins would be a cool niche, there are lots of things you could naturally talk about, lots of unique problems you could help people with, and lots of twin related products you could promote. I would suggest you go for it.

Hi Elle! Ellied63 told me I would find you here. I am excited to connect with other twin moms. I commend you for trying something like this now, particularly when yours are still so young! Congratulations on the little one to come - you are a super mom. I am still learning the ropes, as I joined just five days ago, but so far the training has been quite inspiring and practical at the same time. If I could ever help with anything, let me know!

Hi! Wow, so nice to meet you :) Haha definitely not super, if I'm being totally honest this is just something I was dying to do for myself that doesn't involve baby talk or food being thrown at me ;-) how old are your twins? There is so much to learn here but I haven't felt this involved or excited to learn something since uni. I really want to blog but also need to earn a little income to help the hubby, not sure how that's going to work yet though :s

Hello again! I am so delighted to hear about other moms doing "something for themselves," as it is something I struggled with and now feel very passionate about. In fact, I intend to address this idea in the latter phase of my blog. (Right now, I have one page if you don't count the privacy policy, so it is very new.) I can relate to wanting something for your own, but I could not figure out how to carve out the time until very recently. My twin girls are just over three-and-a-half now, and I am just now starting to feel more complete. From what I can tell you from the WA lessons, you can earn some income, but you have to be willing to wait. Success does not happen overnight. As a fellow mother of twins (with another on the way, no less), I am sure you are equipped with both the stamina and the patience to succeed. In reading your profile, I noticed your expertise in exercise science, which is one of my newest interests. I don't know if you have chosen your niche yet, but you have quite a few things to draw from naturally. I am looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Thought I'd check in and see how you're going? :) This week has been slow for me, my girls are sick AGAIN so I haven't had any 'me' time... I now hate winter, I think I have only had about 4 hours sleep for the entire last 3 months. Haha I don't even remember what I was like before having my life controlled by my girls, they are gorgeous but it's tiring.

Niche wise I am targeting twins as well however am concerned because Australia doesn't have a massive yearly target audience as aprox. only 2% are multiples. I have asked kyle and I'll see what he suggests.
With regards to income, I am willing to wait, I don't need heaps but a little return for the work into the page would be nice :p Hows your blog going?

Hi Elle! Thanks so much for this message. I just saw your new blog - congratulations on getting your own domain! What a great post to read. I was going to say that you should not worry about targeting just Australia because the Internet gives you a global audience! It is a wonderful thing. Now that you own a piece of online real estate, you can speak to the worldwide population. One of mine has been sick too, and now I am a under the weather. It slowed down my momentum a bit, but I am working on building some content for my website. If I had more "me" time, I would be further along, but that is the nature of our work environment, right? Congratulations on your budding mompreneurship!

Hello Elle. I just read your profile after answering your niche question. I wondered if you were an Aussie when you replied to 'nappies' and not 'diapers'!!! I've just met another mother of twins in the last 10 minutes - sorry - I'll get you her user name in a minute.
Just wanted to say that I think you are a very brave young couple. Your husband is amazing - not all men would be so unselfish. I do wish you all the best with the carpentering and the renos (sigh!!!) and the little ones. And another on the way????!!! :-) Wow.
Just wondering if you breastfed yours and whether you'd be interested in doing a guest post on my website?
In the meantime - get your head around the set-up and training and I can't wait to see a pic of the little girls! I hope they feature in your blog!
Warmly
Ellie

Haha yes I am an Aussie, we live in Queensland :) I am very lucky to have him, he is amazing and we are trying for another one now- fingers crossed! I actually have to pick them up from my mums now so I will chat to you about it later? :) I am slowly getting my head around the set up so I will post a photo of them tonight, they are beautiful!
