Stage 1: Wary Open Minded Skepticism

Many of us want real work at home business opportunities that earn a full time income to support ourselves and our families. I searched a lot and discovered Wealthy Affiliate to answer to both my needs.

Stumbling across Wealthy Affiliate was maybe a lucky break for me! Like anyone investigating true work at home training online, I was VERY skeptical but at the same time, I was also willing to give it a try.

For you who NEED to make money online ASAP, here is what I have discovered at Wealthy Affiliate as I continue on this path. I hope it helps you in your decisions to build a convincing work-at-home business with Wealthy Affiliate as your partner. I'm in your corner to help!

The WA Welcome

You probably wouldn't expect a big, warm welcome from a community of so many people when you join a program!. For me it was a bit of a shock. These days you expect an autoresponder - not real people reaching out to welcome you!

It was...is... good to know that there are others in the same boat who have been through finding real work at home options and business growth AND are there to cheer you on. It is a key component to your success (I will explain later). Most importantly, it is beneficial to connect to people and FOLLOW some of them as they can help you grow.

How Long Will This Real Work at Home Business Take?

As you prepare to join the Wealthy Affiliate program, it is difficult to get a timeline on how soon you can build an adequate income. For me this could be more clearly stated so that I knew what to expect timewise. It would also weedout Those who may not really be seriously wanting to build a business.

(Maybe I just missed that caveat at the beginning whwn I joined but then I just asked the question and got a full response!)

The problem is that each person works differently to different speeds with different niches in their work at home opportunity. It is not a cookie cutter progression. Mine took 4 - 5 months to bring in a sale because I was not producing regularly. Other people earn income in less than 2 months. It is why WA members are required to pin down their goals right at the start of the programs a way to focus an individual timeline.

However, some of the WA community (there is that family of supporters again) advise that if you are producing content regularly, income starts trickling in after about 3-6 months and possibly full time income after around possibly 12 - 18 months.

Stage 2: The WA Training

The training in building my work home business kept me pretty busy - and still does! With the huge additional value for money in their extra training components , there is a lot to absorb. As the core training course is very task orientated, each of you will need to decide how best to complete the course. But if you choose to go premium with all the bells, whistles, extra tools and community support, you will find it is worth the hard work because you will have up to date valuable online skills which you can use anywhere!

From what I've learnt, I already build websites for others and earn fees from that!

(My method was to read 2-3 modules and then complete the activities so that I did not lose momentum. You may prefer to do one lesson at a time!)

Writing content is challenging as we are not used it... which is why Kyle instructs to find an area you are passionate about.( Writing just for the sake of getting paid would bore you to tears!) But the good news is that it gets easier with practice...and the cash you earn!

Stage 3: Accepting the Logic

All that training we did makes a lot of sense! Even while some of it was frustrating me (the writing bit..) it's obvious I got value for money, After producing approximately 30 articles (which the training course recommends) you end up building a pretty strong base for your work at home business opportunity via your content website. I started mine here and now will add much more to develop it!

It was tempting to skip sections of training but each piece was vital. In fact, I went back over parts of it! You will find the modules of training are systematic, step by step, teaching in depth, while adding layers of development on your new business website.

If you want a decent income flowing in, you have to accept that content is key and that you need about 100 blogs (or videos ).. but also a website minimum to start a small regular flow to your bank account. For a 4 figure income you may need around 300 posts!

When you choose to follow the premium upgrade training TO THE END and DO it, you will be able to build and manage your own work-at home-business (or two)and even hire writers .Your website will grow in strength... and cashflow.

Stage 4: Overwhelming Overload

100 articles?? The training only requires 30 or so! And in 3 months you will may make a couple of small sales.

Here is where it starts to really help have the family members holding you together!

Don't be overwhelmed or disheartened if sales don't pour in. Businesses don't grow overnight. You may get 6 months of nothing and then the business takes off!

Find your coach (everyone has one!) Talk to them. Community members post blogs daily ... so start following the authors of the ones you like and learn more from them. Get involved and help others out too and your network will grow and benefit your presence on the web.

Then the panic will subside a bit :) It's a bit like a baby taking its first steps.

Stage 5: Learning to Walk

You know how babies learn to walk at different speeds? Some babies refuse to get up and walk for ages ...and then just walk multiple steps. Others take a step at eight months and are off!

That would be all of us us at the starting stages of affiliate marketing and online business at Wealthy Affiliate ( I think i'm the grumpy baby group..) A few steps forward then we may suffer from lack of confidence. Babies just get up and try again. And we need to do the same with learning to build our online income. As we practice and practice, we get stronger. We can't give up. Don't stop working at it ( as I tell myself too). Keep going and your online business will keep growing.

Stage 6: Shadowing Footsteps

Holding us up, pushing us forward are the friends and support in the Wealthy Affiliate community. The success stories are there for us to read and their authors are our mentors. One of the most valuable things I learnt was to COPY or shadow them. Mimic them...whichever one you want. Read their content. Follow their lessons, do what they do and you will get the similar results.

1. Checkout and try the FREE starter training. To keep up your momentum move up to premium for the special rate $19. Training can be completed in a month but you have to really work flat out! Your own domain will also cost you another $15...or just use the one provided. It's worth it, believe me.

2. Step by step, follow the course to the T. (Do not do anythig else!) You are creating your future success passive income so you get paid while you sleep. And the work is upfront...for the future.

3. Don't stop... keep writing. And when it gets too much, FOLLOW and read the other member posts to help prop you upand stimulate your growth. I really learn so much from other members and they give great advice too. It is about THE most powerful aspect of Wealthy Affiliate...more powerful than earning. Support is awesome there, but YOU have to inut too!

4. By now you will have a decent site. Now you are learning to walk with consistency and money may still not be there but it will come. Keep using the training and tools.

5. Shadow the winners. LIke a little child. Learn by copying!
